Olivia Nuzzi had an affair with RFK Jr while covering his campaign for New York Magazine. She was recently hired as Vanity Fair West Coast Editor, and she is peddling a book where she victimizes herself because she chose to break a cardinal rule of journalism: you cannot become intimately involved with a story subject.
Additionally, her ex fiancé (Ryan Lizza, fired for sexual misconduct in 2017) has alleged Nuzzi had an affair with Mark “Hiking on the Appalachian Trail” Sanford in 2020. He also alleges that Nuzzi ran catch-and-kill on stories about RFK and writing campaign strategy memos while RFK Jr was running for president in 2024. While also writing about him for New York Magazine.
