Bonnie Ann Clyde on her Cher “Chair” Snatch Game win | Drag Race UK S7 E8 recap | Werk Room Weekly
Hi, this is Bonnie and Clyde and you can get your Drag Race fix on page six. Hi, I’m Jason. I’m Brian. And welcome back to Workroom Weekly. We’re talking Rupaul’s Drag Race UK season 7 episode 8 and we are giving family resemblance today. We did. We didn’t even plan this. No, I love it. The black, the chic. Come on. A little darkness. A little darkness. But there was actually some color in this episode. Um, these looks were really great. But I I’m getting ahead of myself. I’m just getting excited. It’s a makeover week. It’s makeover week. Makeover week is always so fun. I feel like there are some seasons where we don’t get a makeover challenge. And I always love these. I love seeing who they bring in, what energy do they bring. And of course, when we recaped Slian Royale, the makeover episode was my favorite where they did a over the overseas uh foreign workers, the OFWs. OFWs. I was crying. I thought the looks were beautiful. This gives regular people, non-drag performers, a chance to find this new character and let their, you know, their like beauty, you know, shine. Exactly. I think I either want to see hardworking mothers or like ripped firefighters. I’d want nothing in between. That’s what I want from a makeover challenge. But so, at the top of this episode, this is following Paige 3’s elimination. So sad. We both actually spoke with her following the elimination. Had such a fun time. Hilarious. The best. So funny, huge career ahead. I mean, if you haven’t seen that uh interview, definitely go check it out now. But Paige is so funny. Aside from being like, you know, a tall drink of water that can wear any outfit and an amazing dancer, it’s just the banter. Oh my god, I was just like dying. Yeah, it was awesome. And the girls are feeling a certain way about this because she was stiff competition. You know, Bones is feeling sad cuz she had to send home, you know, her close friend. Uh, Catherine is like gagged by the whole thing. Taurus is the only one who’s like happy about it. She’s like, “Girl, uh, one of the biggest competitors is now out of the competition. These root badges mean nothing.” Turns out, yeah, it’s kind of crazy. Like you said, you went from win to eliminated is just a crazy fall from grace. Yeah. But I think things will definitely be on the up and up for uh, Miss Paige 3. So, this was obviously the snatch game episode and Bonnie was the winner as chair, baby. Come on. Um, so her and L both now have two badges. They’re in the leading the pack. Um, and it was really great. You know, I think Bones was also, you know, feeling good about herself. The girls were reaffirming her place in the competition. You know, she’s she’s a force to be reckoned with and the fact that she was in the bottom with Paige was quite shocking to a lot of people. Yeah, it seems like, you know, L and Bones are the ones to beat. Yeah, absolutely. So, we will definitely keep our eyes on them. But this week, like you said, the maxi challenge was our makeover challenge. So exciting. But I’m going to need you to help me out with this because they are making over celebrity huns. Right. This is not Aillaa and the Huns. This is not Yeah. What is a Hun? A Hun is is short for Honey. It’s basically in the US we have like Stan culture. Okay. People that kind of, you know, go crazy over maybe not the most famous celebrities in the world. Maybe they’re a little hasband. Maybe they were famous 20 years ago and now they have a a second or third career under their belt. So, hun culture are, you know, gays and girls who are obsessed with soap operas, reality show characters, you know, these are winners from pop idol back in 2003. These are, you know, gay icons, LGBTQ, you know, um, fan base go for these types. And so, we don’t really have the exact equivalent here, but I was trying to think of like who is who do I hunt for? Uh, probably like someone like Wendy Williams. Oh, love, right? Yeah, of course. You know, where every clip of her makes me die laughing. You know, Wendy is not at the top of her game right now, but you know, the gays and the girls, they will stand Wendy till the day we all die. Okay, that makes a lot more sense. So, who do you who are you hunting for? Who do I hunt? Who do I stand? Well, if if you’re saying specifically they they might have had like a life before and maybe are seeing a resurgence, maybe like a Rebecca Black, I would say. you know, she was like child star and then now she has this rebrand and she’s beloved by the gays. So maybe someone like that. Totally. Totally. You know, so I think you know what we get this the celebrity Huns come in and the only one I recognize because you know we’re on the other side of the pond but I remember Charlotte Church. Oh. When she was 11, she was the voice of an angel. She had a classical coral album out and it was top of the charts in the UK. It sold millions of albums. She’s now 39, 40 years old. And so Charlotte Church, I was like, “Oh, I know her.” So, of course, the gays and the girls, they love Charlotte. Yeah. And Catherine loved her specifically because she’s Welsh and she was like, “Oh my gosh, like an icon.” Um, so yes, like you said, Charlotte was one of them. Uh, some other people we had were Michelle Mcmanis, Diane Parish, Shabna Galani, Danny Harmer, David Pototts. Um, really cool. And it feel it I felt like all the girls kind of knew of these people. These are like big cultural mainstays within UK culture. Oh, absolutely. It’s like, you know, I feel like if you were on a soap opera, if you were on a kids TV show or or you won a reality show maybe 15 years ago, maybe you weren’t treated so wonderfully in the press, but you know that your your true fans stuck by you. I would love to see this adapted to the US. Like, well, who would who would be six uh US huns that Drag Race would bring in? I mean, they’d be definitely getting the Degrassi cast together, you know, go Disney Channel, you know, uh, probably early days of American Idol. Yeah. Okay. I like that. I like that. So, the girls ended up pairing up. Well, actually, the the Huns got to pick their queens based on I would think it was their Brick Galla looks that they were uh, kind of going off of. So, Michelle got paired with L, Diane with Catatherine, Charlotte with Bones, Shabnau with Selexa, Danny with Tris, and David with Bonnie. I really thought these girls brought such good energy. Like seeing them in the workroom and um just seeing the way that so many of them were just so happy and excited to be there. Oh my god, Charlotte and Bones had such great chemistry. This was so great. And Selexa and Shabna also seemed like a match made in heaven. Yeah. And they were both really opening up. Yeah. There was a lot there was a lot of deep conversations h being had. You know, they were talking a lot about like body image and I think it was Shabna who was talking about like you know as a soap opera star like you are forced to kind of be confronted with your physical appearance and it got to a point where she literally was removing mirrors from her house because she had such like debilitating body dysmorphia which is like crazy to think about. If you are in a soap opera you’re filming five days a week you’re in the makeup chair for an hour at least every day. you know, there’s you really are kind of, you know, put on the spot all the time. It’s not ti it’s not a typical acting gig. No, 100%. And then she also was talking about like uh sexuality and the girls were kind of getting into like uh you know just where the the huns kind of find themselves on the spectrum which was really interesting. Sure. And also on femininity spectrum you know like being put in drag a more than one of the celebrity huns said this is the most feminine I’ve ever felt. after getting a makeover by a drag queen. And it’s kind of ironic, you know. Yeah, it was really cool. And it, you know, it shows that even, you know, like uh like cis women when they do drag, like it’s an evolution. It is, you know, we first time wearing a corset. Yes. So, it’s like this art form really can elevate any gender identity that chooses to do it, which is so cool to see. I love that they included a male in it. You know, we had mostly women. This was really fun. So, let’s talk about, you know, let’s actually get into it. You know, uh, the category was drag family resemblance. Um, so the first one I think we should, let’s just run through all of them. Let’s just talk. And can I just say real quick, Michelle V needs to cool it with the family resemblance critique on the US version of the show, on the UK version of the show, she’s always like, I love this look. I didn’t see the family resemblance. I’m just getting a best friendship. Okay. Friends who called up and said, oo, let’s go out and let’s do like flip. You had a good time. And that really is what drag’s all about. But I am not getting family resemblance. She’s like laser focused on this idea of like family resemblance. Like like two sisters can’t wear different colors. Yeah. Yeah. She’s so crazy about it. I hate this note. And it comes up every single time they do this challenge. I know. I know. And we we do hear it uh for some of the girls. Um but but let’s talk about So the first one that walked down the runway was Katherine Feelings and Shirley Bassie. The girls went as literal sheep. This was so fun. This was campy. Um the outfits were not the most high fashion, which you know is a point to note, but they really served it up. They served it up. The girls fully leaned into it. It was such a great time. I really enjoyed it. Um and then we had El Vosque and Vanity Vosque. They were doing these blue and pink looks. This was the sheicst gender reveal I’ve ever seen was in this. Um, again, they did note that these outfits were It was It was hot. I was like, I’m going to bring them to my house whenever I’m got a bun in the oven. Um, but I I loved, you know, they did talk about in critiques how these outfits were a little simple, but I thought they looked great. They They seem like two friends going out for a night on the town and No, but I think the the fabric was also just very flattering. Elle knows what she’s doing. She does. She’s never looked bad out there. No. And that’s something to note about all these makeovers. The girls looked good. Like sometimes we get some crunchy makeovers, you know. Um, but a lot of these girls literally could pass as drag queens. Like I was like, “Oh my goodness.” Speaking of one that we’ve got to talk about, Bones and Blood. Pack it up. Pack it up. I lost my mind. The Oscar goes to for best wardrobe and makeup. I mean, this was stunning. Yeah. I mean, I just like all the goth goosebumps. Yeah, this was so good. GMA del Toro is calling up Bones right now and saying, you know, fly to Mexico. You’re working on my next movie. I mean, just the It was so cool and played with family resemblance in a way that Michelle V couldn’t bring out her little dagger and say, I don’t see it. You’re you’re bride and groom. That’s not family resemblance. But instead, it was like incestuous. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I thought this was so divine. this muted color palette, this monochromatic look, the way that they’ve played, like you said, with the masculinity and the femininity, the little pasty bows that Bones had, because, you know, Bones is the presumably the groom in this, but definitely still gender bending, tiny little skinny mustache. It was so good. And blood looked amazing. Her drag name choose that she chose is Blood, Bones, and Blood. So great. But she looked amazing. thing she was kind of giving like um death becomes or like Jennifer Samard in like the red like wig with like that silhouette like I saw her come out and I was like oh it’s just so regal and just so so amazing and Charlotte’s tatas yes I mean this is who you want to be in a gothic bride look you know it was so amazing I loved that and then we had another really stellar look we had selects addiction and sedux addiction um this was this gold feathered look. I mean this uh this hun specifically um well this was this was uh Shabna Shabna you know who was talking about you know her her physical appearance so much she looked gorgeous literally looked like a drag queen was painted that’s one thing about selecta she can paint a girl down and she absolutely transformed her in this and you know the gold feathers and the teal I feel like we’re seeing a drag trend right now with the gold and the teal we’re seeing a lot of it we saw it a lot of it with Slian Royale gold and teal are these two colors that just pop. I mean, we had that look last week with Bonnie. Rue was wearing gold on the runway this week. Like, it’s the season of gold apparently, at least in Drag Race. And then we had Tris and Daenerys. They did this very fun, very iconic look from Clueless, you know, Dion and uh Sher, what did you think? I mean, I mean, Taurus looked like the actress. Yes. Like, it’s just stunning. You can’t not do this if you have the goods. It’s It’s like Yeah. Maybe it’s a little easy, but it’s like, yeah, if you can if you can look like Clueless. Yeah. I do think that her hun the face the makeup was so white that she did, you know, it it needed some softening. Yeah. Yeah. And I think this is our share, not our share, our you know, Alicia Silverstone in this moment was a little uh needed a little blending or something. Yeah. Give her a little contour or something. Um, I think this is definitely where like the Michelle comic came in of like they look more like a duo than like a family members, which okay, yes, but they’re they’re one of the most iconic duos. Aren’t those two characters basically sisters in the movie? Yeah. Like what are we saying at this point? It’s like, you know, if you’re going to do a look like that, they did it correct. It did not look like a costume. It looked, you know, like an actual piece of wardrobe from the set. So, I didn’t have a problem with it. I think it could have been a lot worse. Um, and then our last one we had was Bonnie Anne Clyde and Maryanne Joseph. What what a fun name. Fun name. Rough execution. They should have said a few more prayers before going on the runway for this one. Yeah, this was they were going for like this masculine feminine split look and um it was giving like Carella Deville meets like Flapper meets bank robber. Yeah. A little Chicago. Like what? I there were Too Faced. Yeah. And you know, one of the comments they made in critiques was uh that the looks were too similar in color. So you you were losing a lot in that. I know. I wanted to give Bonnie and Clyde a little credit because she did have to size up the wardrobe that she had pre-made, you know, so she’s adding fabric, but I don’t think her look stole the show either. No. You know, it just kind of, you know, it it’s such a fun idea. It’s just hard to pull off. I mean, even I don’t know. I kind of hate a tiny hat. A tiny hat’s a joke to me. And Bonnie is our comedy queen and but there’s something about a tiny hat that just tells screams like Kristen wig on SNL like and underneath a tiny hat, another tiny tiny hat, you know? It’s so sort of I just couldn’t stop looking at the tiny hat. Yeah, it’s really hard because so many of these girls are such talented makeup artists and like Bonnie makeup I wouldn’t say is her strong suit at least, you know, being able to put that on another person. So, they did critique uh you know, her hun’s makeup a little bit, which it’s hard. Like I said, you have all these great looks. It’s like someone who is it’s still passable. We’ve seen much worse makeover challenges in past seasons. Um it gets to a point where it’s like, okay, we got to split hairs and think about who. But Bonnie and Clyde and Mary and Joseph killed it in the performance. Yes. I mean, it did look like they were doing a Chicago inspired, you know, with the the money gun and the machine guns and the bag of money. I mean, I did I did think they sold it. Yes. Our theater girl gave us full camp and a full story line, which I really loved. Um, so we end up finding out that Bones was the winner, which I mean, like, come on, put these outfits in a museum. Like, these girls looked amazing. So, that means that Bones does join the two badge club along with Bonnie and L. Um, but that meant that our bottom this week were Bonnie Anne Clyde and Katherine Felix, our two camp comedy Celtic queens. Yeah, they they were talking about the Celtic Alliance is now, you know, the Celtic Sea being between Ireland and Wales. And so there’s there’s L, Catherine, and Bonnie. And so they’re like, the Celtic Alliance is is now crumbling. It was really hard, but we had to see these two girls go up in a lip sync. They did Push the Button by the Sugar Babes. I had never heard of this song before. I was I’m really glad that it wasn’t like a full pop song because these are our like I said our campy queens and I wanted to see something that like immediately a button was taken out of a bra and you know one of those like the staples. Yeah, the staples that was easy button 100%. Um so we immediately got gimmicks off the top. Um you know it was it was really difficult because Katherine was really selling it. I think you know she was given the camp. She did a little elevator moment where she was, you know, I mean, Katherine is a pantomime queen, you know. The whole thing is shtikick shick Yeah. Um, but, you know, Bonnie was dancing a lot. Yeah. Bonnie was doing more dancing and I think uh Katherine was giving more of a a comedy routine. It really was anyone’s, you know, win at this point. Yeah. And I was thinking I would have given it to Bonnie because she has two repeater badges. Mhm. That’s what I would thought. That’s not what happened. Wow. Isn’t that insane? Like, it’s so crazy that Bonnie had to go home. Yeah. Again, this is the second week in a row where we have gone from a win to eliminated. And it’s like, like you said, she was in the two badge club. I hope her first call was to Paige three to be like, “Girl, you think you were robbed?” Yeah. It is wild. Like you said, I don’t want to say that the the repeater badges don’t matter, but it’s like they’re definitely not a safety net. They’re definitely not looking at those badges to be like, “Well, you might have done bad this week, but you know, you did good two weeks prior.” Like, no, those are merely an accessory that you’re wearing. This season has really been just topsyturvy, upside down. The rules um are thrown out the window. The the rules as we know it, you know. Yeah. So, I mean, it’s crazy. Like you said, another powerhouse has left. Bonnie is unfortunately not there anymore. It’s good news for Catherine and good news for us. Yes. Yes, because we get to talk to Bonnie and CL. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. It’s always a bittersweet uh with these eliminations, but we know that something fun is coming. So, yeah, we’re going to go talk to Bonnie. So, that will be right now. So, stay tuned. We will see you next week for episode 9. And let’s go talk to Bonnie. So, we are chatting with the queen who brought razor sharp comedy, big acting chops, and two maxi challenge wins to Drag Race UK season 7, Bonnie and Clyde. Hi babe. Hi. How are you doing? I’m good. I’m good. Okay. I got to know. So, you made history as the first queen from the Republic of Ireland to compete on any Drag Race franchise. What did that mean for you personally and like what kind of reaction have you gotten from Irish fans or queer communities back home? It’s crazy. Like, it’s a lot of pressure, I think, to represent for an entire country. Um, especially because it’s been under reppresented on on the Drag Race H stage, I think, globally. Um, but Ireland is just full of so many talented and unique and and like really like strong individual drag queens because the scene is a lot smaller. There’s a lot more they got to work for. Um, and to be the first one from the Republic is it’s a it’s it’s an honor. Um, and I just was very aware that I was representing for everyone while I was there. So, I was very determined to do a good job um of it. And I think the response has been overwhelmingly positive. I think people are finally happy to see a republic republic of Ireland queen on the show. Um, and I’m just very fortunate that I did a good job while I was there because there’d be nothing worse than me being like, I was the first one and I also went home first. So, let’s never have a drag queen from the Republic of Ireland again. Well, you absolutely did a good job. As you as I mentioned, you won two Maxi challenges, the acting challenge in episode 4, Snatch Game episode 7. What was it like getting to showcase both your acting skills and your comedy instincts on that stage? It was great. Like that those were the two challenges I went into it beforehand being like, “Okay, I’m going to manifest if I’m going to win two challenges. I want to win the acting um because I’m a little theater kid at heart and I wanted to win the snatch game because who doesn’t want to win the snatch game?” Um, and I was really I was just really fortunate that I got like in the acting challenge I landed the role that I wanted and it was it was in one of the I think the the best script of the bunch and I had a really strong um duo to act with. Um, and then in Snatch Game it was just it was I was in the right headsp space on the day. Um, they really wanted to volley. Um, and then I just it was kind of like I struck gold with the character a little bit like Rally loves Sher and really loves puns. So Chair was kind of ended up being perfect. It could have been an absolute disaster. Um, and it just worked for whatever reason. So, um, yeah, we’re extremely grateful that those two are the challenges that I got under my bag. Um, and I’ve got the badges hung up at home and I’m just, yeah, it’s it’s great to have gone into the process and come back out of it feeling validated based on performance. Those are absolutely two of the the biggest ones across any franchise, you know, that people want. So, the fact that you were able to snatch both of those is so incredible. for the acting challenge. Your ABF fab look was such a deep cut and we absolutely lived for it on the show. Were you always an ABF fab fan with that look? Like was it burned into your memory? Did you like dig through references? How did that one come to be? Yeah. So, to be honest, like I’ve always had AbFab there in the back of my brain, but I’ve never been like a major fan of the show. Like I’ve never sat down and really watched many loads and loads of episodes. It’s been on the TV. It’s always been like in the back of my mind growing up as as a reference. and the characters of Paty and Adena, like they’re always there, you know. Um, but when we got the brief and it was like we’re doing an AF fab runway, I was like, “Okay, let me have a look. I don’t just want to do like the suit or like whatever. I want to see what’s there.” And I was doing a little clicky click on Google images and going through, spent a a while looking and I saw that and I was just like that is drag. And I wanted to really make sure that I was doing like a proper replica of something rather than like a take on something. Especially because I didn’t feel like I necessarily had the the reference point as not being like a super mega fan of ABF fab. So I was like, if I’m going to do it, I want to do it exactly as it was on the show. Um, and I want to make sure it’s something that’s really funny and but also something that I would potentially wear as well in my own drag. And I was like, you know what, I would wear that. Um, and again, it was one of those moments that just struck gold because I turned the corner and I did the Thursday and RuPaul just started clapping and you’re like, “Oh, okay. She’s really into this.” And again, it’s like it was a great choice, but like it was also just pure coincidence that she knows the reference. She loves it. She thought it was hilarious and like it just sealed the deal, I think, that week for getting the win. Um, so yeah, again, just very very fortunate, very and very lucky. We saw it in that challenge. I mean, your sense of humor feels so specific and so smart. Like, who do you find to be comedy inspirations in your drag? It’s like the old like funny ladies of like like of years past and stuff. So, like Lucille Ball and Carol Channing and um there’s so there’s so many like people like that I’ve just p pulled inspiration from over over the years. like um I find my drag is very rooted in like references um but especially like old time references and stuff like I just love that sense of humor I think is just very funny and I think it translates really well into drag and so I guess like just funny ladies I think like and like the the icons and stuff like Barbara Stysand and and even like modern ones like Lady Gaga and stuff like that they’re all just like super like good references for me for my drag. So yeah, all all those gals, you know, just a casual list of icons, casual list of names. Um, we already mentioned it a little bit, but we’ve got to talk about the moment chair. I mean, you you you know, you kind of touched on the fact that, you know, Rue is a big Sher fan, but like how did you approach playing her when we have queens like Chad Michaels who have already set such a high bar for like traditional Share impersonations? Well, this is it. I think chair is like a symptom of the fact that snatch game has been going on for so long. Um, and we’ve seen so many like really well done snatch games before. Um, and I think when I went into it, I was like, I want to do something that RuPaul knows. Um, but is also ridiculous and stupid. Um, but is has a touch of like it’s classic as well. Um, and we’ve seen people in the past win with with doing characters again, but I didn’t want to just go in and do like a share impersonation because we’ve seen it already and I was very aware that like I would get red if I if I just came in and did a subpar thing. Um, so it that kind of just that was the reasoning for really wanting to do it, but like it just it originated just for me and my Irish accent and doing my share impersonation of just going too hard and it sounded like chair and being like that’s okay, that’s funny. And then, oh, there’s actually another pun here with her with her song. And, oh, she said that one time. And that also works if she was a chair. And um, and then it was just like it was a slow build of like getting that rolodex up of all of these references to furniture and share. And it’s really like cerebral and like messed up a little bit that I that I’ve come up with this concept, but and for whatever reason, it just works. And yeah, it was um, it was a moment in time. A moment in time indeed. will live in the snatch game pantheon of iconic performances. Um, in the same episode, RuPaul praised your holiday ho ho ho’s runway look. What was it like receiving that like direct sort of praise? And have you passed on the designer’s info to Rue yet? Cuz I feel like she wants that dress very badly. She Listen, I was so tempted this episode to just be like, I’ll give you the dress if you let me stay. You can have the Christmas dress, R. Um, because she she gave me praise again the next day at the at the walkthrough. And I wasn’t like it was just out of the blue. It was the first thing she said. She was like, “Bitch, you looked so good.” And I was like, “Thank you, mother.” Um, but I did on the runway. We we like we talked for so long on that on the runway during the critiques. And there’s a lot more back and forth with Ru and the judges that that you obviously don’t get to see just for time. And she she asked who the designer was. And it was by a drag queen in Cork in Ireland called Mia Gold. Um, and like we did that outfit. She was based in Cork. I didn’t have a fitting for that. I gave her my measurements and she she had it on herself and we’re we’re a similar body type. Um and it obviously look great on her but then it just fit me like a glove and I was like this is it. There was a few outfits as well. I got my hometown uh look done by a designer in Waterford, Norland called Ryan Wall and again it was the corseted St. Patrick’s look that also had we didn’t have a fitting for that either and it was just like it it just fit and I was very very fortunate and these people in Ireland are so talented and I’m so I should have gone to more designers in Ireland to be honest. I mean, when it works, it works. Um, at the time of your elimination, you were tied for the most wins in the cast. Truly a front runner, and this was also your first time ever in the bottom two. Like, how did you process that shift happening so late in the competition? Yeah, like I had I’ve been doing a really good job up until that point. And um, when you prepare for the show, you obviously bring all your looks and stuff. And unfortunately this look conceptually I think I went a little bit too hard in like what I wanted to do and what I thought like this would be so cool on the runway. Kind of forgetting that the point of the makeover challenge is not to to do something fresh and exciting and new. It’s to just make someone over and and had them have a good time in drag. And I think I just went too hard in that. And then I received the outfits and I think they weren’t up to kind of the standard of a lot of my other looks that I brought. But unfortunately I got them two days before we had to leave for the show and I was like there’s not a lot I can do here. So, I knew in my heart I was like, when this challenge comes around, unless there’s two other people that look absolutely dog next to me, like this is going to be my week that I have to lip-sync. And I was just like, you know what? It is what it is. You make the most of it. And we like I brought all the props. We had a great performance on the runway. We enjoyed our time there. And then when it got down to the lip sync, I just made sure like I knew the words and I knew what I wanted to do. And I just had a great time. I like when those lights went off and and the music started and you’re lip sync in front of Rupaul. It’s nerve-wracking, but I also had the best time doing it. And I was like, if they want me to stay, they want me to stay. If they don’t, they don’t. Like, if they wanted to keep me, I had two wins. They could have they could have kept me, you know? So, it’s like everything happens for a reason. Um, and the universe puts you places. And at the end of it, I did such a good job that like I’ve won for myself. I don’t I don’t need to like go on to the final and get the crown to to prove that I’ve I’ve done the thing. like I’ve gone on Drag Race and I’ve done it, you know? Yeah. I mean, you’ve made your mark unquestionably. I mean, and we even said when we were watching the episode, like you guys looked as a duo, you had the most fun on stage. Like, y’all had the full performance. Y’all were, you know, you were giving it. And like that is also such a huge part of the makeover challenge is, you know, as the queen being able to make that, you know, makeover e feel comfortable and feel powerful. And like you absolutely did that, which is so special. Um, I also want to talk about this beautiful little trio alliance between you, L, Catherine, you know, our our our Celtic girls. What was it like kind of having them and, you know, you you all being front runners, you all being these like powerhouse uh representatives for your region? This is it. Yeah. I think it just goes to show like that the Kelts really do a great job at drag and I think we we we I think we have a little bit of an advantage because we haven’t had the representation as much over the years whereas I think a lot more of the English drag has been has been seen on the show already. Um so it’s harder I think for those girls almost to break out of the mold and and show that they’re super unique when especi when they’re using a lot of their own cultural references whereas for us we like our references haven’t been seen as as much. So, it’s easier for us to go on and and and say things and for our accents to be kind of perceived a little bit funnier, I guess. Um, but it was also very true of the fact that the three of us are incredibly talented people um and all kind of operate within like a similar vein of comedy and um a similar kind of aesthetic style and stuff like that. uh maybe not Katherine, but um we we all like we all just put our best foot forward and I think and it was really nice to have a trio there like of us that we kind of we all supported each other and um it didn’t work out in the end obviously because one of them sent me home but this is what happens when you when you when you form like close bonds with people and and you want each other to do to do well you can you can end up being in the bottom together and it is what it is you know you you’ll always have each other is what I like to think um I mean you had such a I have those, too. Girl, make them into earrings. Like, what are we going to do? We We have to like show them off. They’re in a box. They’re in a framed in my room and they’re they get they’re right beside my makeup station. So, whenever I get ready, I’m like, “Yes.” H Yes. That’s right. That’s right. I see them glistening glistening as I’m applying my powder. I mean, you had such an incredible run, challenge wins, iconic moments. Like, what’s next for you? Like, what do you what do you really hope uh to to do, you know, post Drag Race? Well, Drag Race is it’s really just a springboard for the opportunities that you get afterwards and what you do with your your time on Drag Race is is totally up to you. So, I’m really eager to just work as much as possible. I want to do a bit of TV and I want to do a bit of film. I really want to go on as many tours as I can and see the world and meet all the fans. Um, and who knows, maybe one day we’ll have a Chairwell tour and we’ll have a have a big moment. But there’s there are some things in the works and there’s there’s some announcements coming soon which I think the fans are going to really enjoy and appreciate. And uh yeah, it’s it’s time for time to do what we’re about to do and um I think everyone’s going to enjoy it.
