JD Vance’s wife, Usha, addressed divorce speculation after being seen without her wedding ring. Usha Vance’s spokesperson made a rare statement denying speculation that the second lady of the United States is divorcing her husband, Vice President J. D. Vance. Split rumors between Usha and JD began to swirl after she didn’t wear her wedding ring during her visit to Camp Leune, a military training facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina on November 19th. Usha made the ringless public appearance alongside first lady Melania Trump. But according to her spokesperson, Usha, who shares three kids with JD, simply forgot to wear her wedding ring. Usha is a mother of three young children who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes, the spokesperson said in a statement to People. Usha and JD tied the knot in 2014 after meeting at Yale Law School. The recent split rumors were also fueled by JD’s hug with Erica Kirk at a Turning Point USA event last month, which also went viral. Kirk, the widow of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed in September, gave the politician a warm embrace on stage, prompting chatter on social media. She also told the crowd, “No one will ever replace my husband, but I do see some similarities of my husband in JD in vice president JD Vance. I do.” Erica previously praised Usha for her support at Charlie’s memorial service, sharing, “She told me, “You will get through these 15 minutes and the next 15 minutes after that.” Usha, I don’t think you realize it then, but those words were exactly what I needed to hear. JD also caused controversy in October when he said that he hoped Usha, who was raised in a Hindu family, would eventually convert to his Catholic faith and revealed he quote feels bad for dragging his Hindu wife to mass every Sunday. I feel felt kind of bad like, oh, you didn’t sign up to marry a weekly churchgoer and are you okay with this? And she was sort of more than okay with it. And that was a big part of I guess the confirmation this was the right thing for me.
