Prince Harry is reportedly hoping to spend Christmas with King Charles, but royal experts claim Meghan Markle’s actions could jeopardize the festive reunion

Meghan Markle could potentially disrupt Prince Harry’s plans to spend Christmas with his father due to allegations that she violated an agreement made with the Royal Family.
When Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior members of the British Royal Family in January 2020, they became financially independent and agreed not to be working members of the family anymore. They also agreed not to use their ‘Royal Highness’ titles, and while they retained their Duke and Duchess titles, Buckingham Palace instructed them not to use them publicly for commercial purposes.
Since then, Harry has reportedly had limited contact with his father and brother. The couple has also relentlessly slammed the Royal Family over the way they claim it treated them when they lived in the UK.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, writer Kaitlyn Greenidge said she and the Duchess of Sussex visited a New York City home owned by one of Markle’s wealthy friends, Victoria Jackson, reports the Express US. Kaitlyn alleged that Meghan was introduced as the “Duchess of Sussex” by a house manager, despite there being only two people in the room.

Royal experts have been left shocked by this claim, and suggested it demonstrates how tightly Meghan is clinging to her Royal status. British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital, “This is not protocol, let alone royal protocol.
She added, “It’s bizarre and highlights that Meghan attaches enormous importance to her royal status. Meghan will cling to her Duchess of Sussex title because it gives her a sense of importance. The title remains useful for Meghan’s business activities, particularly in the United States. It gets people talking and keeps her in the limelight.”

British journalist Jane Moore also slammed Meghan for exploiting her Royal ties for personal benefit, penning in The Sun, “The Sussexes supposedly ‘Megxited’ from the UK five years ago for a life of ‘financial independence’, yet they continue to rinse their royal connections for their own commercial gain.”
She also declared that the Sussexes’ use of their “bestowed” titles is “hilariously egotistical and breathtakingly hypocritical”. The disclosure about Meghan being introduced as a duchess follows after Closer revealed Harry is hoping his father will invite him to spend Christmas with him in the UK, as the pair attempt to rebuild their relationship.

An insider revealed, “Harry is on tenterhooks waiting to get the go-ahead to visit King Charles in England at Christmas and is adamant that he needs to be with his father any chance he gets.” The allegation about Meghan could irritate King Charles and prompt him not to invite Harry to spend the festive season with him.
Harry met his father at his London home in September in a bid to build relations between the pair. I was their first face-to-face meeting in 19 months.
