Derek Hough Says He’s Absorbed Hayley Erbert’s Pregnancy Emotions | E! News

What I’ve learned, at least about Haley, is that she is a fantastic pregnant woman. Like she’s she is like I have I have absolved all the pregnancy emotions apparently, you know, where I’m like, you know, freaking out or I’m emotional, I’m crying or I’m like whatever it is. She has like been like this Zen Buddha like just at peace and she’s been incredible. Honestly, it’s been really amazing to watch and to observe and to just witness. To be honest with you, I think at any any moment when you’re sort of in a place of suffering, you’re probably thinking about yourself. You know what I mean? Usually when we’re like really feeling down or we’re feeling upset about something, we’re kind of focusing on ourselves and like gh and like I feel like this way and this has happened to me and the best way to sort of get out of that is to focus on others and to serve and to give. And I know for me like I’m at my best, you know, as a person when I’m helping somebody or when I’m, you know, whatever it might be, just being present and hearing them speak or talking with them or guiding them. And so then to have this another another level of that where now this is like my child I get emotional thinking about it like where I get to like see I told you the pregnancy emotions where I get to guide, mentor, love this this human being from day one and um to receiving this baby to then like guiding this this this human on this journey is uh it’s going to be amazing. And I um I’m I’m looking forward to what it all going to do, you know, and mean for me as a as a as a dad and as a person, as a man, and uh what’s going to evolve within me and change. I’ve been having classes, you know, with with the doulas and midwives and and learning all about just the pregnancy and what to do with mantras and what, you know, what things mean and and you know, um just all all these different things and all these tools to really understand this birth, you know, because we’re it’s it’s going to be a very intimate birth. So, it’s uh it’s it’s going to be a little bit different. So, I have to make sure I know what I’m doing and had a two-hour class yesterday about, you know, just just everything. It’s a lot. It’s a lot, but it’s very exciting. And I um again, Haley’s a badass. She’s just a badass, man. She’s going to be incredible. I can’t wait. [Music]
