Miss Universe Fátima Bosch Addresses Claim Her Pageant Win Was Rigged | E! News

Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch Fernandez is responding to allegations her win was rigged. Known as Miss Mexico before being crowned Miss Universe, Fatima was at the center of controversy even before her win, spearheading a walk out after being called a dumb head by pageant executive Noat Greel. Many other pageant contestants joined her walk out in solidarity. But after her Miss Universe win, some people are claiming the contest was rigged and Fatima was being rewarded for speaking out. When asked if she agreed with her theory, Miss Universe says on today, December 2nd, “No, but I think I make history, so why not?” But of course, no. I make the same effort that all the pageant made, and this is a job. To add to the already existing controversy, one of the eight judges stepped down, alleging there was a secret vote, even declaring Fatima should be disqualified. she says in response, “Well, my response to them and to him was that if maybe he wanted like more followers on Instagram, he should like, I don’t know, get into a show, a TV show, maybe.” On top of the judge’s claim, Fatima’s father, Bernardo Bosch Hernandez, has been brought into the conversation as he is a Mexican oil executive and some claimed the pageant’s controversial Mexican owner, Raul Raja, has business interests with her father. They make like this campaign of hate. My father has nothing to do with organization and it’s crazy how you’re going to buy a crown. Maybe in Walmart you can buy a crown. Yeah, but not in Miss Universe for sure. [Music]
