The Duchess of Edinburgh melted hearts this week as she carried out a special engagement in Guildford. Duchess Sophie, in her role as patron, visited the Lighthouse Guildford to officially open the new community hub in the area, which aims to host projects host a range of projects to support, encourage, and empower those who find themselves in need.

    Prince Edward’s wife looked stunning in a monochromatic beige look, which she paired with suede brown boots and a suede brown bag. She kept her makeup glowy and styled her hair in her signature low bun.

    Sophie, who has two children of her own, Lady Louise and the Earl of Wessex, appeared to be in her element as she met six-month-old Dottie, whose mother, Lucy Sumners, takes her daughter to the hub regularly. The royal was seen cooing and playing with Dottie on her lap, and the moment quickly gained interest on social media.

    The charity wrote on social media following Sophie’s visit: “Smiles, celebration and a huge sense of community filled the room today as HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, Royal Patron of The Lighthouse, officially opened The Lighthouse Guildford — a brand-new hub of hope and support for the town.”
