Jeremy Allen White reveals Bruce Springsteen texted him ‘every night’ while filming #shorts
When you found out that you got the role, did you I mean obviously you were really happy, but was part of you like I’m going to throw up or I might like soil myself? Yeah, of course. Yeah. Yeah. No, I mean I took you know I I had met with Scott and I was really excited about the idea of of working with him before I even, you know, knew anything about this film and I’d been an admire of Bruce for a long time. It was all very exciting, but I wanted to make sure that I was the the person for the job and and I had to I had to consider it, you know. Absolutely. Yeah. Right. Did you cry a little bit before first night of filming? I think I cried almost every night, I’m sure. Yeah. I mean, it was it was a tremendous amount of uh of pressure, but Bruce Bruce carried me through. I mean, Scott, Bruce, but Bruce texted me almost every night and he was on set very often. Um, and uh and I think uh without that sort of support uh and those texts in the evening, um I certainly would have been uh you know, crying a lot more at the end. That’s so cool that he texted you. That’s wild. I love it. All right. Thanks so much. Thank you.
Jeremy Allen White admits that it was tough playing Bruce Springsteen in the biopic “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.”
“It was a tremendous amount of pressure,” he exclusively told Page Six at the 2025 Gotham Awards in New York City Monday night.
However, he had some help from the Boss himself.
