Hugh Jackman serves custard Kopp’s before movie premiere in Milwaukee

Actor Hugh Jackman serves custard at Kopp’s Frozen Custard in Greenfield ahead of the Milwaukee premiere of his movie, “Song Sung Blue.”

Looks like Hugh Jackman has made it to Milwaukee — and is already wearing a Cheesehead.

That’s according to a video clip the actor posted on Instagram just after noon on Dec. 2.

Dec. 2 is the Milwaukee premiere of “Song Sung Blue,” which stars Jackman. He portrays Milwaukee’s own Mike Sardina, who performed in the Neil Diamond and Patsy Cline tribute act Lightning & Thunder with his wife, Claire, who’s played by Kate Hudson.

“First time in Milwaukee and I am so excited,” Jackman said in the Instagram video. “And, I’m never taking cheese off my head again. I can’t believe I went 57 years without it.”

In the video, Jackman is sitting in a windowsill, with a view of the U.S. Bank Center, 777 E. Wisconsin Ave., in the background.

“I feel right at home in Milwaukee. @songsungbluefilm” he captioned the post, which also included a throwback WISN 12 video that showcases the city.

Ahead of the premiere, Jackman will be at Kopp’s in Greenfield, serving up custard.

While the Milwaukee screening is invitation-only, fans will be allowed to gather in a reserved area outside the theater to see Jackman’s and “Blue” writer and director Craig Brewer’s arrival.

The film hits theaters on Christmas Day.
