Does George Clooney Plan on Retiring From Acting? He Says… | E! News

George Clooney is opening up about his plans for retirement. During an interview with USA Today, published December 2nd, the 64 year old, who was starring as the title character in Netflix’s film Jay Kelly, shares if he plans on ever bowing out of the industry or if he wants to keep going, quote, “Till the wheels fall off.” As he tells the outlet, “They’re falling off already. Leg falls off every once in a while. My dad’s almost 92 and he still writes, it’s important to stay active.” And the actor, who has been in the entertainment industry since the 1970s, believes that there will be a role regardless of his age, saying, “I do feel like because it’s creative, you can stay involved and do what you want to do. There’s going to be parts for Grandpa Gums Bread, and I’ll be the perfect guy for it.” And among the many opportunities he has had in his career, George has recently stated, “There’s one role that got away from him that took a while to get over.” As he told E! news last week.
