Daily Express columnist Carole Malone made her feelings clear on “ailing” Thomas Markle during an appearance on GB News today (December 4), when she slammed his daughter Meghan for “snubbing” her dad. Carole didn’t hold back as she read out the headlines of the day, starting with reports from the Daily Mail that Thomas had been rushed to intensive care after emergency surgery.

She began: “Meghan Markle’s father is apparently… well, they’re saying that he’s dying, he’s in intensive care, and he’s just had emergency surgery in the Philippines. He is 81. Of course, the big question that everyone’s asking is, ‘Will Meghan Markle, who is currently on Netflix doing her Christmas special and talking about the importance of family at Christmas… Will she go and visit her ailing father?’

“We know she hasn’t seen him since she got married, five, six years ago. Harry has never met him. But it would seem incredible that she has spent the last two years talking on this Netflix series about the importance of family, banging on about how important it is to be close to them, especially at Christmas, and the likelihood is she will not go and see her dying father.”

Carole added: “I would advise her to do it. She shouldn’t have to be told to go and see him. This is a woman who talks about compassion all of the time.

“She wanted to make her living travelling around the world, making life better for disadvantaged people. So where’s the compassion for the father who brought her up, who paid for her private education […] and who took huge care of her?”

Carole said Meghan has “totally snubbed” her dad, who “could be dying” and “needs to see his daughter”.

Reports came in last night (December 3) that Thomas was “fighting for his life” in the Philippines after becoming seriously ill at home. His son Thomas Jr. said: “I took dad to a hospital close to our home and they did various scans and the doctors said his life was in imminent danger.

“They raced us by ambulance, with the sirens going, to a much bigger hospital in the centre of the city. My dad has undergone emergency surgery.

“My only wish is that Meghan shows my father some compassion. He is literally fighting for his life.”
