Golden Globes 2026 Nominations: Snubs & Surprises | E! News
The 2026 Golden Globe nominations are here and there’s quite a few snubs and surprises. The nominations announced ahead of the ceremony set to air on CBS on January 11th and hosted by Nikki Glazer are revealed by Marlon Weighins and Sky P. Marshall on December 8th. Although Wicked for Good receives a total of five nominations overall, including ones for Cynthia Arivo and Ariana Grande in the acting categories, it is not included in the category for best motion picture musical or comedy. Additionally, director John Mchu is once again shut out of the best director category. As for surprises, Jacob Allerti not only lands a nomination for best performance by a male actor in a supporting role in any motion picture for Frankenstein, but he’s also a double nominee, earning a nod for his role in the series The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Another surprise is the action thriller One Battle After Another, which comes out on top after earning nine nominations, including one for best motion picture, musical, or comedy. As for actress snubs, Haley Steinfeld does not receive recognition for her role as Mary in Ryan Cougler’s Sinners. Additionally, despite her small role in One Battle After Another, Regina Hall’s praised performance is also shut out of the category. And last, after taking the world by storm, the Netflix hit K-pop Demon Hunters earns not just one or two, but three nominations for the animated film. [Music]

Award shows today are a joke!!! It's the same clowns nominated by the same people for their terrible movies… 2025 was one of the worst years for films in recent memory… FACT!!!
