Zooey Deschanel Reveals Her Kids’ Surprising Reaction to Elf | E! News
Have your kids seen Elf? They must have, right? They’ve seen part of it. They weren’t really that into watching it. Okay, MV, I have something to tell you. The thing is, me and Russia. You’re going to be okay. Come on, bud. Cheer up. We got so many cool things to do. [Applause] Oh, no. What are you doing here? You’ve turned up dressed like some weird lady spy. We both know he’s happiest when we’re all hanging out together. I don’t know that. It’s just a week. How hard can it be? Was it the most fun set with all of these dogs around or are either of you allergic? And it was an absolute nightmare. No, it was so fun. It was really fun. Oh, yeah. It was so fun. It was really fun working with Gus and and you know, all the stunt doubles that played Murf. But um the dog stunt doubles. the dog stunt doubles. I did like enjoy the days where they were like they had like a million dogs on set cuz it’s just so goofy. You have like like a poodle riding around in a little car and like like doshins like doing stuff which like anything is funny when a doctran does it. Um and like the poodles getting groomed like there’s so many cute things. It was really fun. Yeah, we we learned that we do didn’t get tired of like dog puns and like No, you can’t. Otherwise, you’re you’re kind of the Grinch on set, right? Yeah, absolutely. Have your kids seen Elf? They must have, right? They’ve seen part of it. They weren’t really that into watching it. I think it was a little I don’t know. It was a little weird or whatever. But this year, I think a bunch of my daughter’s friends were talking about it. So now she wants to watch it with her friends. My biggest fear making this movie that I was going to dislike Zoe and I wasn’t going to be able to like Elf anymore. Oh no. That was like if that happens, that’s Did I make the cut? Are you I’ve seen the movie multiple times since the Thank God. [Music]
‘Merv’ star Zooey Deschanel exclusively told E! News that her kids Elsie, 10, and Charlie, 8—who she shares with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik—aren’t exactly the biggest fans of her 2003 hit film ‘Elf.’ “They’ve seen part of it,” Zooey explained to E! News’ Will Marfuggi, “but they weren’t really that into watching it.” As for why her children couldn’t get into the Christmas classic? As she put it, “I think it was a little weird.” Her new film ‘Merv’ streams globally on Prime Video Dec. 10.
