Prince Harry wants to team up with global star, Jennifer Lopez, for an appearance at an Invictus Games event, it has been reported. The Duke of Sussex founded the Invictus Games in 2014, which “offers a recovery pathway for international wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women”.

A source said, “If [Harry] can land her [Lopez] to make an appearance at an Invictus event, it would be phenomenal for the charity and a thrill for him too. He’s reaching out to everyone that he’s got a connection to; it’s not just Lopez that he’s trying to lure in.”

They added: “But no doubt she’s the most thrilling prospect for him because he’s very starstruck by her.”

As reported in Star Magazine, the source added that Harry “is very competitive,” so seeing his elder brother Prince William “reel in all these big names for his charity, has lit a fire under him.”

The outlet reported in February 2020 that Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle went on a double date with the 56-year-old singer and her then-fiancé, Alex Rodriguez.

As well as regularly teaming up with stars such as Hannah Waddingham and Cate Blanchett, Prince William is also known for attracting musical royalty. William and pop star Kylie Minogue recently posed together at the 2025 Earthshot Prize Awards in Rio de Janeiro, highlighting a connection between royalty and pop culture. They posed for photos on the green carpet, with William expressing his thanks for her contribution.

The next Invictus Games ceremony will be held in Birmingham in 2027. The UK-backed bid went up against six cities around the world, and Birmingham won through its strong commitment to the welfare and recovery of serving personnel and veterans.

The Board of Trustees of the Invictus Games Foundation had previously shortlisted Birmingham and Washington, DC as the two final cities in the running for hosting the eighth Invictus Games.

Following presentations from both bidding teams earlier this year, the Birmingham bid was awarded the Games. There is usually a well-known celebrity performing at the opening and closing ceremony of the games.
