Only the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Norway. In Stockholm, laureates receive the Nobel Prize medal and diploma from King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. In Oslo, laureates receive the Nobel Peace Prize from the Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee in the presence of King Harald V of Norway.
The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Venezuelan politician, activist, and opposition leader Maria Corina Machado. Machado's daughter, Ana Corina Sosa, accepted the award on her behalf. Princess Ingrid Alexandra attended the ceremony for the first time today.
