Kelsey Grammer Shares How Baby No. 8 Changed Him as a Dad | E! News

We’re getting too high. Congratulations on the film. It’s Turbulence is a classic thriller. How are you describing it to people? Well, to me, it it borrows a convention of like a a theatrical piece where you sort of limit the size of the stage and and make it compact and so that basically raises the tensions and the stakes for everybody else. So, it it becomes sort of a pressure cooker. Congratulations on your newborn. How are you feeling? Have you have you slept? Well, yeah. Honestly, it’s kind of amazing. He’s a really easy kid. Uh but my wife Kate has been uh just exemplary. I mean, uh you know, the first couple of kids we had, you know, maybe we were still sort of improvising a little bit, but we were good at it. Always spend a little bit of time wondering, you know, am I going to do a good job? I mean, that’s really what it is. And you know, I mean, I’ve got older kids and I still reflect on that. I’ve got, you know, grown children and uh I think, well, maybe I could have done that a little better. Wish I’d done this a little better. I wish we were closer or I wish we were, you know, further apart. But it’s been a great life for me with my families and the chances I’ve had with kids. This new baby is an extraordinary reminder of how precious every day is. He’s different every day. He is unique every day. and you kind of forget that, you know, and so I’m I’m actually luxuriating in that a little bit more now. So, it’s really great. I love that. How do you feel like fatherhood changed you as a as a man? Well, it’s funny. You know, there’s a there’s a whole bunch of theories about all this stuff, but mostly uh it falls into traditional roles as far as I’m concerned. Dad, dad has to point the way and walk the walk. And you got to follow in his footsteps. If dad doesn’t know where he’s going, family doesn’t know where it’s going. I I was probably a little weak on that element in the early days because I was still sort of fleshing myself out, figuring out where all my demons lived and where all my anxiety was and all the tragedy I’d had. I was still sort of sorting through some of that. So, those were challenging days. Yeah, they’re a little less challenging now. I mean, there’s still that element still exists, but uh I’m certainly more available to play the role of a man that can actually point in a direction and have everybody go, “Yeah, thanks, Dad. We’d like to go there.” There must be a renewed sense of magic in the house now that you have another young young My sons My sons love Christmas. They absolutely love it. They love decorating the tree. I’m hanging the lights tonight maybe or or tomorrow morning, but uh we’re we’re preparing for Christmas. They love Christmas. Uh we are still a very traditional family in that way. Everybody’s very happy about Santa Claus and we’re having the most wonderful looking forward to a great visit from uh the man in red. It’s it’s uh very exciting.

    1. You do you as long as the kid is provided for its ok. Kelsy Gramer must have the coins so. My father was about 50 years old when i born it happens. He has 8 kids at some point he should think about that 30-minute visit to the doctor so he does not have to worry about it again.
