Actress Rachel Karpani dies unexpectedly at age 45. The Australian actress who has appeared on NCIS Los Angeles A and E’s the Glades, Lifetimes Against the Wall, and the 2020 Ben Affleck film The Way Back died at the age of 45 her sister Georgia announces. She writes on Instagram on December 15th, “It is with great sadness that Tony and Gail Karpani announced that their beautiful daughter, beloved Australian actress Rachel Karpani, unexpectedly but peacefully passed away after a long battle with chronic illness in the early hours of Sunday, 7th December.” She continues, “The funeral will be a private event to be held on Friday, 19th December with close family and friends. The family requests privacy at this very difficult time and will be making no further statements. Back in September, Rachel had gushed about how loved she felt after celebrating her 45th birthday with her family. She writes on Instagram, “At the time, “Despite existing in this waking nightmare of a world losing its humanity, you all reminded me how much we should treasure what we have and against the current backdrop, how enormously grateful we should all be every day. Chronic illness aka = depression. 😢
You can't "unexpectedly" pass if you're dealing with chronic illness/disease. Prayers for the family. The 11th marked the one year anniversary since we buried my aunt from ovarian cancer. Deaths around the holidays are always the hardest. You never see the holiday season the same after that. My neighbor down the street just buried her high school sweetheart. He collapsed suddenly in the house the week before Thanksgiving. Widow maker.
