Ben Stiller, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billy Crystal mourn Rob Reiner and wife Michele

Billy Crystal and his wife Janice were seen outside the home of their late friend Rob Reiner. The emotional video was captured by Fox News. A neighbor told ABC 7 that the When Harry Met Sally actor looked like he was about to cry. Larry David was also spotted at the scene following the tragedy. They’re not alone in grieving the legendary Hollywood director and his wife Michelle who were fatally stabbed in their Brentwood home on December 14th. The star of The Princess Bride, Carrie Ules, wrote on Instagram that he had no words and shared a grainy photo from the set of their cult classic. John Cusack called Rob Reiner a great man. Elijah Wood said he was horrified by the news. And Josh Gad wrote, “I cannot express how much this hurts.” Meanwhile, fellow film directors shared their heartfelt tributes. Ron Howard wrote that his and Rob’s careers and lives intersected often over the decades. They were both 1970s sitcom stars before making the leap to directing. The housemmaid director Paul Fee called Rob my true hero and a true visionary titan and a lovely lovely person. Actor and severance director Ben Stiller tweeted, “What a huge loss,” calling Rob one of my favorite directors who was really, really funny. The Riner’s good friend, Spinal Tap star Christopher Guest and his wife Jaime Lee Curtis, released a joint statement via Variety. Christopher and I are numb and sad and shocked about the violent tragic deaths of our dear friends Rob and Michelle Singer Reiner. And our only focus and care right now is for their children and immediate families. And we will offer all support possible to help them. There will be plenty of time later to discuss the creative lives we shared and the great political and social impact they both had on the entertainment industry, early childhood development, the fight for gay marriage, and their global care for a world in crisis. We have lost great friends. Please give us time to grieve.

Hollywood is mourning Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, after the couple’s tragic deaths. After news broke Sunday that the couple had been fatally stabbed in their Brentwood, Calif., home, Ben Stiller wrote about the “huge loss” via X.

“Rob Reiner was one of my favorite directors. He made some of the most formative movies for my generation,” the actor, 60, tweeted, going on to call the late director a “kind caring person who was really, really funny.” Jamie Lee Curtis also spoke out, telling Variety she and husband Christopher Guest were “numb and sad and shocked about the violent, tragic deaths of [their] dear friends.”

    1. It is sad. These drugs are killing people every day, especially in California. We must support Donald Trump and his quest to stop the drug cartels..

    2. I recently read an article written about Sally and Rob “friendship”. It struck me as very sad. I do not expect actors to remain friends forever, but Sally clearly felt shunned by Rob and never knew why. People are complex. Like Sally said they ghost people and nobody knows why.
