During an interview with Fox News’s Harris Falner on December 10th, Erica decrieded the toll the theories have had on her team. In the weeks that followed the brutal caught on camera gunning down of her husband that shocked the world, prominent right-wing figures such as Candace Owens have spewed unfounded claims about his death and even raised questions about his funeral arrangements. Owens, who worked as a communications director for Turning Point USA between 2017 and 2019, has openly cast doubt on the notion that suspect Tyler Robinson acted alone. She’s floated theories that Charlie Kirk’s own organization quote betrayed him and that the US government was involved. For weeks, Owens has also seemingly implied, though not outright alleged, that Israeli intelligence may have also had a hand in Charlie’s murder. About 48 hours before Charlie Kirk died, Charlie informed people at Turning Point, as well as Jewish donors and a rabbi, that he had no choice but to abandon the pro-Israel cause outright. Did he also express that he wanted to bring me, Candace Owens, back because he was standing up for himself? And then did he just 48 hours later conveniently catch a bullet to the throat before our onstage reunion? Erica described her Turning Point USA team as family and underscored that many of them were present when a bullet ripped through her husband while he was engaging with students at Utah Valley University. My team, they are rocked to the core. So why every single day did they have to be dragged through the mud, analyzed, hyper analyzed? Owens has also contributed to the stirring of theories about the location of Charlie’s burial, claiming that he was laid to rest in a Catholic cemetery despite him not being Catholic. But can I have one thing? Can my babies have one thing? Where we hold it sacred? Where my husband is laid to rest? Where I don’t have to be worried about some secular revolutionary coming and destroying my husband’s grave while my daughter is sitting there praying. Hours after Erica’s Fox News appearance, Owens went on the attack again on her podcast, ripping Erica for not addressing the rumors publicly as the new CEO of the company, but as a morning widow. Whoa. Erica Kirk shuts down the con. No, she didn’t even respond to one of the conspiracies. She gave us emotion. She gave us emotion. She said, “I’m a mother. I am a wife.” And we never asked about whether she was a mother or wife. We want to know if she is a CEO and a chairman. The back and forth between the pair comes as Erica’s team gears up to address Owen’s headscratching claims. Blake Nef, producer of the Charlie Kirk show, announced that his team will give their public rebuttal to Owen’s claims on Monday, December 15th. He extended a public invitation to Owens, who’s indicated she won’t be able to make it in person or via a video link. The right-wing podcaster is no stranger to controversy, however. She is already facing a defamation lawsuit from French President Emanuel Mcronone’s wife, Breijit, for pedling outlandish claims that she’s secretly a man.
