Tucker Genal, a popular TikTok influencer, has died. He was 31.

Genal’s brother Carson shared news of his death on his verified Instagram account on Monday, Dec. 15.

In the emotional post, he paid tribute to “my best friend and an even better big brother,” sharing that “my entire life I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero.”

“I know one thing is for certain and that is that I will continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again,” he wrote. “You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for. We love you and will miss you eternally Tucker🤍”

The post also asked for privacy “as we mourn and begin to navigate life without him.”

Genal’s death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, which listed the date of death as Dec. 11 and the manner as suicide.

Genal had more than 2 million followers on his TikTok account. His most recent video was a collection of photos from each month of 2025, which was accompanied by audio from Ricky Gervais’ Netflix series “After Life” where the comedian reflects, “Once you realize you’re not going to be around forever, I think that’s what makes life so magical.”

“Wish I could relive some of these moments twice,” he wrote.

Genal’s other recent videos included one earlier this month where he surprised his little brother by flying him to premiere of the new installment in “his favorite movie franchise,” “Five Nights at Freddy’s.”

Fans took to the comments of Genal’s latest post to mourn his passing, with fellow TikToker Zach Justice writing, “You were always the kindest person to me. I can’t believe this. Please check on your friends. All love to him, his family, and all the people who loved him.”
