Jenny McCarthy has claimed that Hollywood is more supportive of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. than it may seem
She said on a podcast that celebrities have called her to say, ” ‘I don’t want to come out. I don’t want people to know I have a child on the spectrum. I don’t want people to know my f——- schedule. Can you help me?’ ”
McCarthy has long been close with Kennedy, 71, whom she and her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, endorsed when he ran for president in 2024
According to Jenny McCarthy, there’s more widespread support of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. than it may seem.
The actress, 53, discussed her support of her longtime friend on the Dec. 11 episode of the Culture Apothecary with Alex Clark podcast.
McCarthy said she’s been “marching with Bobby since Evan was 2 years old,” referring to her son, now 23, whom she shares with her ex-husband, John Asher. Evan was diagnosed with autism in 2005.
The Masked Singer judge went on to say during the podcast episode that there’s more support for RFK Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again movement in Hollywood than people realize.
When the podcast host asked her, “What sentiments do you hear from Hollywood about MAHA? Are they secretly very supportive of the MAHA movement?” McCarthy said the community is “secretly very supportive.”
“I’ve been mentoring mothers online who DM me still, but also celebrities that have called me and said, ‘I don’t want to come out. I don’t want people to know I have a child on the spectrum. I don’t want people to know my f——- schedule. Can you help me?’ ”

McCarthy said that the backlash she has faced for her controversial views — she has openly speculated about whether vaccines contributed to her son’s autism diagnosis — is why many other stars don’t want to go public with their own perspectives.
“And I honor that, because they saw what happened to me,” she said on the podcast.
“Who in their right mind, after everything that I’ve kind of [been through] would be like, ‘You know, I want to be that next person that gets bullied for so many years,’ ” she said. “There’s more conservatives than you would know hiding out in Hollywood.”

In August 2024, Kennedy dropped out of the race and endorsed President Donald Trump. He has since been named the secretary of health and human services, despite his highly controversial opinions, particularly about autism.
Since he was confirmed in the spring, Kennedy has made various unfounded claims about autism, including that boys who are “circumcised early” have “double the rate of autism.” He also launched a national autism registry, as National Institutes of Health director Jay Bhattacharya confirmed that the NIH would provide Kennedy with data pulled from a number of federal and commercial databases, CBS News reported at the time.
