Not recent news but something I just learned today. Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad of ABBA fame has lived with Henry Smith, 5th Viscount Hambleden, since 2007. Smith is still legally married to his American wife Sara, but they have been separated since 2003.
To add another royal-adjacent layer, Frida is the widow of Heinrich Ruzzo Prinz Reuss von Plauen, to whom she was married until his death in 1999. His claim to the courtesy "Prince Reuss" and/or "Count Plauen" is debatable, but Frida is sometimes referred to as "Princess Reuss" or Anni-Frid Lyngstad Reuss in spite of it.
Through Ruzzo, Frida developed a friendship with the Swedish Royal Family, particularly with Queen Silvia.
