[music] One day after the director and his wife of over 30 years were found dead in their Brentwood, California home December 14th, former first lady Michelle Obama shared that she and Barack Obama were scheduled to see them that same day. Revealing the news during her December 15th appearance [music] on Jimmy Kimmel Live. >> Let me just say this. Unlike some people, uh, Rob and Michelle Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you ever want to know. >> The 61-year-old emphasized how Rob and Michelle lived their lives to the [music] fullest. >> They were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about. Um, and they cared about their family and they cared about this country and they cared about fairness and equity. Um, and that is the truth. I do know them. Her comments come after [music] former President Barack Obama paid tribute to the couple on X December 15th, saying in part, quote, “Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen. But beneath all the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action.” [music] Rob and Michelle were found dead in their home in an apparent homicide. December [music] 14th. The LAPD confirmed in a December 15th press release that their son Nick was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody with no bail.

I was binge watching All in the Family Saturday and I didn't find out about Rob and Michelle until Sunday morning and in all of their pictures, they just look like the most wonderful couple and he always had a smile on his face.
