Why Anderson Cooper Thinks New Years Eve is “Dreadful” | E! News

Anderson Cooper is opening up about why he thinks New Year’s Eve is dreadful. When asked if he hosts New Year’s [music] Live just to take the pressure off making plans for the night, the Emmy award-winning journalist tells Brave December 17th. I find New Year’s Eve, especially New [music] York, to be just a dreadful evening. I think the best thing you can do is stay home and watch stuff on television because it’s just you can’t get an Uber and people are drunk and it’s often raining and cold. I always wanted to just ignore [music] it and escape it. Anderson has been hosting the show for almost 20 years. He says, “I initially did it all by myself because it was just like doing a lot of live shots for CNN, [music] and no one else wanted to work on New Year’s Eve, so I thought, yeah, I’ll work on New Year’s Eve. That’s the perfect solution.” [music] As for his New Year’s resolution, the host of Anderson Cooper 360 says he does not make a resolution on New Year’s Eve, but instead tries to be more present in his kids’ lives, [music] his life, and the lives of others. Anderson shares his two sons, Wyatt Morgan and Sebastian Luke, with co-parent and [music] exartner Benjamin Msani.
