Savannah Guthrie Says Surgery Will Keep Her Off Today for Weeks | E! News

Savannah Guthrie is saying goodbye to Today temporarily. The longtime Today show anchor is undergoing vocal surgery and will be taking a break from the NBC morning show to recover. [music] On December 19th, Savannah said, “Some of you have noticed that my voice has been very scratchy and started to crack a [music] little bit.” Well, I found out what it is. I have vocal nodules and I also have a p-up. It’s not a big big deal, [music] but I’m going to have to have a surgery in the new year and be off for a couple of weeks. So, this [music] is my last day for a little while. The 53-year-old says the show’s audience probably thinks she’s had the world’s longest head cold, but she’s excited to have found [music] a solution for the ailment she’s been struggling with for years, going on to say since she has [music] to be totally silent while recovering from surgery. Christmas is coming early for her family. Savannah shares daughter Vale and son Charlie with husband Michael [music] Feldman. The pair started dating in 2009 and ultimately married in 2014.
