‘Avatar’ director James Cameron shared how he thinks Amy Poehler’s 2013 Golden Globes joke about his marriage to Kathryn Bigelow was an “ignorant dig” that went “too far.” As the ‘Titanic’ director told The New York Times, “I’m pretty thick-skinned, and happy to be the butt of a good-natured joke, but that went too far.” During the opening monologue of the 71st annual award ceremony, Amy made some jokes about the night’s nominees, including Kathryn who was up for Best Director for ‘Zero Dark Thirty.’ The ‘Parks and Recreation’ alum said at the time, “When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.” James and Kathryn were married from 1989 to 1991.
