Sally Struthers is loving the single life.

The All in the Family actress, 78, revealed that she has no regrets not marrying again after her first marriage ended in divorce in 1983.

“I constantly put my blinders on and got into horrible relationships,” she recently told Woman’s World of why she isn’t in a relationship.

Struthers married psychiatrist William C. Rader, with whom she shares daughter Samantha, on December 18, 1977. However, the two divorced on January 19, 1983.

After her daughter turned 1 year old, the Emmy Award winner thought to herself, “I’m going to focus on my family, my friends, my career — and I’ve never, ever missed having a love life.”

These days, she’s still focused on family. According to Woman’s World, her nephew Matt, his wife and their son, Kai, live with her.

“We have become such a tight unit of family,” she explained. “We respect and love one another, laugh and cry together — and it’s better than being married.”

During the interview, Struthers also recalled what it was like working with All in the Family costar Rob Reiner, who died in a tragic homicide alongside his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, earlier this month.

When the actress — who played Gloria Stivic on the popular family sitcom — noticed her lines being cut, Reiner (Michael “Meathead” Stivic) told her, “If you can make the show itself more important than your own part, you will wind up offering to give up some of your lines.”

Those words, she said, changed the course of her career.
