It’s Christmas Eve, meaning it’s time to gather around and watch movies as a family (or on your own). And nothing says Christmas like leaving your kid at home while you vacation in France, forcing him to defend your home against a duo of burglars. We’re talking, of course, about the classic holiday flick Home Alone, starring Macaulay Culkin.
The 1990s heartwarming comedy tells the story of Kevin (Culkin), who is unknowingly left behind by his family thanks to some oversleeping and the chaos of air travel 30 years ago. Finding himself alone in his house, Kevin has fun at first, but realizes how much he truly missed his family. He also, to make things interesting, battles off the Wet Bandits — played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern — as they try and break into the house.
Home Alone has an all-star cast, also featuring Catherine O’Hara, John Heard and John Candy, plus an appearance from Succession’s Kieran Culkin.
