Lion King Child Star Imani Dia Smith Killed in Home Stabbing | E! News
Broadway star Imani Dia Smith has been killed. Officials confirmed that the 26-year-old actress and singer, who portrayed Young Nala in ‘The Lion King’ musical from 2011 to 2012, died Dec. 21 after being stabbed at her home in New Jersey. Police have arrested suspect Jordan D. Jackson-Small and charged him with first-degree murder, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. Imani is survived by her 3-year-old son, parents Monique Rance-Helper and Rawni Helper, as well as two siblings.
