    Two years after Matt Damon’s claim that he turned down a $250 million deal to play Jake Sully in ‘Avatar,’ James Cameron set the record straight in a December 18 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. While it is true the pair discussed the blockbuster hit, James says Matt’s involvement was never a done deal, adding, “But he was never offered. There was never a deal. We never talked about the character. We never got to that level. It was simply an availability issue.” Matt had explained to ‘The Titanic’ director at the time that while he would love to be part of the ‘Avatar’ series, he had a scheduling conflict due to his role in the ‘Bourne’ movies.     1. Surely they have agreed to initiate this public controversy. Milions of Borne fans could tune in to watch Avatar. A simple free media enactment could boost 30 % revenue.
      Surely Matt Damon is getting the largest deal from this publicity which doesn’t hurt anyone.
