Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash By PETA for Gifting 4 Kids Their Own Puppy for Christmas
Kim Kardashian is facing backlash for her Christmas gifting. In a statement shared with PEOPLE on Dec. 28, PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk criticized the reality star’s decision to gift each of her four children their own puppy for Christmas. “Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that,” the PETA founder stated. Kim announced the newest additions to her family in an Instagram story posted on Christmas Day. The post featured four small Pomeranian puppies—two with dark fur and two with lighter fur—along with the text “each kid got a puppy.”

Pets are handbags to them. Klhoe put her kids puppy in the tightest choking collar & the kids didn't want anything to do with the puppy wouldn't even acknowledge the poor thing. They make me sick.
