Let’s loop all
the ladies of the Swedish Royal Family in for this fashion recap,
and reminisce about some of their hit styles this year! We’re
looking back at the hits of Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria,
    Princess Sofia and Princess Madeleine.

You can’t ignore the sartorial splendour at the Nobel Prize ceremony in
Stockholm every year. Some of us are still raving about fashion
hits from ceremonies long, long ago…

While they all shine, this year I’m crowning
Crown Princess Victoria as the top royal at the Nobel Prize
ceremony, although I guess I should be giving Queen Silvia her
laurels: it’s a recycled gown by Jacques Zehnder from the 1994
ceremony. I love the wrap-style element and the simple jewellery so
as not to overpower the look.

    Top marks!

PRINCESS MADELEINE WEARS AQUAMARINES AND MAKES THE
    LIST

I’m a simple gal: if Princess Madeleine—who was born to wear the
Aquamarine Kokoshnik tiara—wears it, she makes the best-dressed
list! Worn at the Nobel Prize ceremony along with her Jenny Packham
    caped gown.

If I were Princess Madeleine, I’d wear this tiara all the time
regardless of whether or not it was appropriate attire.

    O CANADA!

I’m also a biased gal: if someone comes to Canada, they
immediately land on my radar. When Queen Silvia joined her husband
for a state visit to Canada in November, she landed in Canadian
red, and at the state banquet that evening, wore a beautiful
sapphire beaded floral gown with echoes of Queen Elizabeth II’s
Sapphire Jubilee Snowflake brooch, a gift from the people of Canada
    to their queen.

When Princess Ines was christened in June—on
her parents’ 10th wedding anniversary, no less!—her
mother arrived in a gorgeous sunshine yellow day dress by Lars
Wallin and hat for the happy occasion.

We didn’t see much of Princess Sofia this year, owing to
maternity leave following Ines’s birth, but this one look made up
    for it!

Princess Adrienne, the youngest daughter of Princess Madeleine
and Christopher O’Neill, paid her first visit to her duchy,
Blekinge, in June. Her mother wore a perfectly princess pink linen
blazer and trousers from Veronica Beard that I’m still thinking
    about all these months later!
