In a reminiscent new Instagram post on Wednesday, Dec. 31, the actress shared a throwback photo from when she was a teenager traveling in Paris, giving fans a glimpse at the retro fashion she was rocking back in the day.

In the flashback photo, a 13-year-old Applegate can be seen wearing a vintage grey patterned sweater and a black beret during an outing in the French capital. The picture shows Applegate being photographed while she takes her own snaps, holding a digital camera up to her eye.
“Always camera shy,” the actress, now age 54, wrote in her caption on Wednesday. “13 in Paris.”
“Always with the best outfits. ✨” one of her followers gushed in the Instagram comment section.
But the nostalgic photo doesn’t just showcase Applegate’s ’80s wardrobe choices, as it also shows off the trendy hairstyle she was sporting at the time: a chic mullet-style look.
“That hairstyle 🤩” another fan wrote under the post, while someone else added, “oh the new wave haircut for the win 🔥🔥.”
Christina Applegate Reveals the Advice She Would Give to Her 13-Year-Old Self
In the comments on her latest Instagram post, Applegate was asked what advice she would give to the 13-year-old girl in the picture, if she had the chance.
The Dead to Me star responded to the fan question by writing back, “so I was 13. And I have a 14 year old. Be honest with your parents And they will be there.”
Applegate, who shares 14-year-old daughter Sadie Grace with husband Martyn LeNoble, has previously spoken out about her complicated parental relationships, voicing some of the “regrets” she had after her dad’s death earlier this year.
“I have a certain kind of heartbreak with that, which is, number one, I’ll never see him or talk to him again,” Applegate said on a June episode of her MesSy podcast after the dead of her father, Robert. “But also, the heartbreak of all the regrets I have, of the things I didn’t say, certain resentments that I held that seemed so frivolous and ridiculous to me now. How I wish I had maybe spent more time or something.”
“That heartbreak is coming from this place of, ‘f—k, there’s so much more I wish I could have said or done, and now I will never be able to,'” Applegate added at the time.
