Megyn Kelly isn’t holding back on the celebrities who made a bad impression on her.

In an interview with the Daily Mail published on Tuesday. December 30, Kelly, 55, revealed that Jane Fonda was the first to “come to mind” when discussing stars she had unpleasant interactions with.

Kelly spoke to Fonda, now 88, in 2017 while working on Today. Kelly recalled Fonda chiding her for a question about plastic surgery, but the news personality claimed that she broached that topic to steer Fonda away from a discussion about her sex scenes with the late Robert Redford in their movie Our Souls at Night.

“What happened in that segment, Robert Redford was on, his PR person came up to me and said, ‘For the love of God, don’t talk about their sex scenes,’” Kelly claimed.

Megyn Kelly has found herself in the middle of several surprising feuds through the years. In 2017, Kelly asked Jane Fonda about aging and plastic surgery. “We really want to talk about that now?” Fonda replied on an episode of Megyn Kelly Today, to which the journalist replied, “Well, one of the things people think […]

Kelly alleged that Redford’s rep told her that the actor was “uncomfortable” with the topic and asked her to “steer” Fonda in a different direction. Kelly claimed she followed the request, which appeared to make Fonda unhappy.

“She was offended that I wasn’t steering her there,” Kelly alleged. “She really wanted to talk about their sex scenes.”

Kelly also claimed that Bruce Willis was standoffish toward her during a 2006 Fox News interview.

“He came on and was just so clearly unhappy to be there,” she claimed of the Die Hard actor. “I mean, that’s fine, he has his politics, but why agree to come on?”

Kelly alleged that Willis, 70, was “so ungiving” and “so ungenerous.” While the interaction wasn’t great from Kelly’s perspective, she confessed she felt bad sharing her experience amid Willis’ ongoing battle with dementia.

“And I hate to say it because of how he’s struggling now. But he was just unpleasant,” she said.

Kelly also hinted that she had tension with Today show legend Al Roker.

“Let’s just say, if my mother ran into Al Roker, she would turn into Larry David bumping into Alan Dershowitz at Martha’s Vineyard very quickly,” she said, referring to an alleged altercation between the pair.

Kelly did not elaborate on his drama with Roker, 71.

While Kelly named multiple stars she had negative interactions with, she did share which celebrities have been kind to her over the years.

“Milo [Yiannopoulos] [is a] total charmer,” Kelly said, adding that the former Breitbart editor is “just as nice as he is on camera.”

Kelly added that she was also “very impressed” by Russell Brand, who was “completely warm” when they met. Jada Pinkett Smith, meanwhile, was “so sweet, so sincere, [and] so genuine” when Kelly interviewed her in 2018.

“I’m still her fan,” Kelly said of Pinkett Smith, 54.

Kelly also spoke highly of her former NBC costar Kathie Lee Gifford, as she “was nice to me during what was one of the most unpleasant years of my life.”

“When people on the Today show were not giving me a warm welcome, treating me like the redheaded stepchild of NBC, she took me out,” Kelly recalled of Gifford, 72. “She met my family.”
