Three’s a crowd — just ask Jennifer Garner’s longtime boyfriend John Miller.
The Last Thing He Told Me star, 53, has been dating the businessman on and off since 2018, all while maintaining a solid bond with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.
“John has been incredibly patient, but there’s no denying that it’s getting harder to ignore her dynamic with Ben,” a source tells the National Enquirer. “Jen’s promised so many times that things are going to be different and they have improved to a point, but unfortunately, her relationship with John does take a back seat way more often than it should.”

The friendly exes — who were married for 10 years and share three children Violet, 20, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13 — have remained close despite divorcing in 2017.
“John loves Jen and respects how seriously she takes co-parenting,” insists the source. “He understands that her kids will always come first and he’s OK with that. What he’s not happy about is feeling like he’s coming second to her ex-husband.”

There’s only so much the CaliBurger CEO can take, adds the source. “He’s more than ready for the next step and has told friends that he can’t stay hovering in the background while she’s still so emotionally invested in Ben.”
Miller hasn’t given Garner an ultimatum over Ben, 53, yet. However, adds the source, “it’s pretty clear that if Jen doesn’t give him a proper commitment this year, he won’t stick around.”
