Rob Reiner Honored at Critics Choice Awards 3 Weeks After His Death | Critics Choice Awards 2026

At the Critics Choice Awards 2026 on Jan. 4, host Chelsea Handler honored “nicest guy in Hollywood” Rob Reiner three weeks after he and wife Michele Singer Reiner were murdered. Handler told the crowd, “Anyone who ever spent time with Rob Reiner knows that the minute that you met him, he felt like an old friend. Rob and Michelle were tireless in their efforts to so many important causes, all stemming from one basic idea, decency, that we should all look out for each other.” Rob and Michele Reiner were murdered in their Brentwood, CA home Dec. 14. Their son, Nick, has been officially charged with their murders. His next court date is Jan. 7.
