Bryan Kohberger Case: Idaho Murder Victims’ Families Sue His College | E! News
Washington State University, where convicted killer Bryan Kohberger studied criminology before murdering four University of Idaho students in 2022, is being sued by his victims’ families. In court documents obtained by the New York Times, the families alleged WSU remained “idle in the face of known extreme and repeated instances of discrimination, sexual harassment and stalking by Kohberger occurring in its educational program.” WSU responded to the lawsuit in a statement to E! News, writing, “ Our hearts remain with the families and friends impacted by this horrific tragedy. Because this is a legal matter, we are declining further comment at this time.” Kohberger, 31, is currently serving four consecutive life in prison sentences without the possibility of parole for first-degree murder after confessing to the killings of Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, in return for accepting a plea deal from prosecutors that spared him from the death penalty. Criminology follows Occam's Razor. Criminology students were improperly educated. Reimbursement of Tuition could result in a class action lawsuit. Administrators were inconsistent in following pre-established guidelines following criminal law.
I'm glad this is happening.
And his family should be sued ! For enabling when seeing signs of him not well !!!
I'm no casting director, but in my humble opinion, the great Timothy Chalamet Jenner could easily portray this murdering nerd in the movie about this tragedy!
I hope the families get whatever they ask for
I don't know if it could have been 100% prevented because some criminals come back weeks/months/years later seeking revenge. The fact he was still a student is crazy, they should have reported him to authorities.
RIP to these beautiful souls. ❤
The school has zero culpability in this..they all lived in a communal home OFF campus and had massive parties where security wasn't an issue. I think they should sue Kohlberger for committed these murders. HE is responsible..
Umm… no. They'd been under fire for discharging a student with no real record
The school has nothing to do with it. Suing does nothing but take money from the tax payers and school.
They look so young. Sad
Yeah even if the school followed protocol, that wouldn't have stopped him….
Restraining orders don't stop psycho men from unaliving the victims. Don’t see this as the school's problem. Sue the family…
Still wonder why the roommates did absolutely nothing when they heard screams and even tho one of them said she was terrified… Nothing makes sense
A frivolous endeavor that will likely go nowhere. Attorneys need to be held accountable.
Absolutely disgusting that these families are so ignorant to sue this guy’s college. How stupid can people grieving really be?
