Megyn Kelly may not have tuned in to Sunday’s Golden Globes, but she still had a lot to say about actors Mark Ruffalo and Wanda Sykes, who used their appearances at the ceremony to make subtle political statements, and were one of the night’s high-profile winners.
On Monday’s episode of her SiriusXM radio show, Kelly lashed out at Ruffalo and Sykes, both of whom wore “Be Good” pins in honor of Renee Nicole Good, who last week was shot down and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis.
“God, he’s the worst. He’s just so bad,” Kelly said of Ruffalo after sharing a clip of the “Avengers” actor discussing his homage to Good. As for Sykes’ joke about being “a queer Black woman up here doing the job of two mediocre white guys,” the former Fox News host felt the comedian “should never be allowed to present again.”
“You’re pathetic, Wanda Sykes,” Kelly said, before noting Sykes would be better served by being a “classy lady” in lieu of “somebody who’s constantly mentioning, essentially, the fact she has darker melanin and a vag.”

She also blasted Sykes for the “disrespectful” choice of acknowledging the transgender community while accepting winner Ricky Gervais’ award on his behalf. Sykes’ remarks were a pointed allusion to the criticism Gervais has received for including transphobic jokes in his earlier comedy specials.
“Remember when they were just funny? Why does anybody watch this shit?” Kelly said. Later, she took aim at actor and comedian Amy Poehler, who won the inaugural Best Podcast award for “Good Hang,” which has featured Ariana Grande and Gwyneth Paltrow on its roster of guests.
“Amy Poehler won. That’s no shock, they gave it to one of their own,” Kelly said, before adding sarcastically, “It’s because she really has a really, really insightful podcast, which you really feel enriched after watching.”
Though “The Megyn Kelly Show” was reportedly shortlisted for a Golden Globe nomination alongside “Good Hang,” Kelly has claimed she withdrew herself from consideration upon learning how much Hollywood schmoozing was necessary to secure a nod.
“I’d rather put a bullet in my brain,” she said. “Fuck no! There’s zero chance I was doing any of that.”
