King Charles has offered his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor a new temporary home in a bid to get him out of Royal Lodge. Andrew, 65, is reportedly set to move out Royal Lodge by his 66th birthday on February 19, with other sources claiming that he will be in a permanent home by Easter.

Following the temporary move, Andrew will move into a home on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. No further details have been released about the temporary home.

The home is said to have been vacant for some time, with updates needed including changes to its security features.

Six-foot wooden fences are being installed, along with a CCTV system.

The process of moving Andrew out of Royal Lodge has reportedly taken two years, with the disgraced royal said to have previously told friends, “It can be done tidily or untidily. It can be done with grace and dignity or it can be thrust upon him”.

Speaking of his younger brother, who is 11 years his junior, the King is said to have been “worn thin” by Andrew.

Speaking of the temporary property, a source told the Sun: “The snow or rain hasn’t delayed the work on Marsh Farm, but it still needs a lot of attention to make it habitable.

“But one thing for sure is that it is a lot, lot smaller and less luxurious than Royal Lodge.”

Andrew was stripped of his title, honours and styles at the end of last year by King Charles. It came amid the worsening sex allegations and relations with his friendship with the late US convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
