Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is expected to move out of his Royal Lodge mansion into a new home on the Sandringham Estate this year, after being evicted by King Charles and stripped of all his titles. Exactly which property the former Prince will move into continues to be speculated on, although Marsh Farm has repeatedly been brought up. Now, a royal insider has revealed “grim” details about the property.
Marsh Farm is located in the village of Wolferton, seven miles from Sandringham House. Fans started to speculate that Andrew would move into the Marsh Farm property after a “no-fly” restriction was extended to cover the home. The property has been described as “ramshackle” and “shoebox-sized” and, more recently, a “secret” royal connection has been revealed.

“Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new home has secret royal link—and it’s pretty grim,” said royal expert Rebecca Russell in The Express. Explaining the allegedly “grim” connection, the expert said Andrew’s rumored new home is “famously” located near the abandoned Wolferton railway station. It was from that station that the bodies of King George V and King George VI began their final journeys back to London after they both died at Sandringham in 1936 and 1952, respectively.
Wolferton railway station was the destination that trains used to transport the Royal Family to the Sandringham Estate for over a hundred years. The royals stopped using it in 1966, however, and the station was eventually closed in May 1969. Shortly after its closure, Wolferton was sold by British Rail and the royal waiting room was reopened in 1970 as a museum to display royal and historical memorabilia. The museum is now closed, and the station—elements of which are Grade II listed—is in private hands.
