Heated Rivalry’s François Arnaud Details “F–k Up” in Romance Timeline | E! News
Heated Rivalry star François Arnaud cleared up a major timeline mishap. In a clip from his Jan. 20 interview on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live, the actor revealed there was a mix-up in how the show’s romance storyline was edited, leading fans to believe his character Scott Hunter and boyfriend Kip Grady, played by Robbie Graham-Kuntz, were broken up for three years. François admitted, “The way that we shot it, there was a f–k up in the timeline…So, we shot it thinking it was six months between [Kip’s] birthday and the Cup. And now it’s three years.” François explained that because Scott and Kip’s storyline was cut alongside Shane Hollander’s, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov’s, played by Connor Storrie, years-long romance, the timeline ended up reading much longer on screen than originally intended. From my understanding, the show combines the stories of all of the books in the series; so it has an overlap between the timelines of each book.
I'm not surprised that there was a bit of a mix up with any part of the show timeline.
In case anyone see my comment and chooses to reply: I haven't read the books. So I'm stating my understanding of what the show is as based on what bookstagrammers have said.
Now they can write a prequel on the 3-year gap just for TV.
They can just say Kip was in school for that time, and they had a long-distance relationship in those three years. Cut to a barrage of amazing scenes of them being together whenever they can meet up.
In the book too they only take a break for like 1 week. Never break up. Glad he clarified why Kip would be at the game after 3 years for your ex that you haven’t talked to in all that time
I just saw it as an opportunity… We can now have Scott & Kip the missing years…

I'm not very interested in Francois like, I'd don't trust him at these days.😑😑😑😑 BUT…….BUT……..What I'm REALLY very interested was is Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie like c'mon, I know they're been friends for few months until it was more than friends that Francois doesn't seem to know.😏😏😏😏 Lemme say this, if Heated Rivalry ends of the seasons soon, Hudson and Connor will FINALLY can tell them about their coming out stories like that's the process to do it OR if Hudson and Connor aren't the ones, thanks to that Francois' horrible suggestions then, we need to see it more to uncover. It's funny because the clothes that Kip and Elena are wearing on the big night in 2017, are the same clothes when Scott invites Kip for the first time with 2 tickets. Could be different clothes, but I swear it looks the same… they seem to be seating at the same spot too, as if Scott had booked these seats for Kip for the last 3 years. LOLOL

WHY would u assume they broke up for 3 years? kips DAD was present at the game too, and didnt react shocked when scott called kip down —- hence kip must have told his dad about scott (why wouldnt he, scott should be totally ok with that cuz then his boi doesnt need to lie to his family, and they surely are discrete), and on this basis WHY shouldnt he and scott not see each other for the 3 years?? wouldnt make any sense

Why he everywhere but not his screen partner, instead they should be in duet interview but no he is everywhere & he isn’t even the mainlead but f the show, I really don’t understand I actually hate that his screen partner got dust along with other girls but him. idk this is so sad, open favouritism is showing
Francois episode 3 seemed more normal than the weird timejump romance of the main couple, like who does romantic dates with the same months apart??
I prefer it that way. I liked people having to guess whether they were together or not.
