EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Erik Griffin (Workaholics) has landed an undisclosed role in Behemoth!, the new Searchlight film from Andor‘s Tony Gilroy.

Revolving around a cellist, the film’s cast is led by Pedro Pascal, also including Eva Victor, Olivia Wilde, Alexa Swinton, Margarita Levieva, and Matthew Lillard. As we reported exclusively, Wil Arnett recently took over a key role from Stranger Things‘ David Harbour, who departed the project for undisclosed reasons.

Gilroy is directing Behemoth! from his own script and producing the film alongside Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy (Andor). SVP of Production Rayne Roberts and Creative Executive Cameron Chidsey are overseeing on behalf of Searchlight Pictures, reporting to Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas. Production kicked off in Los Angeles in October.

As an actor, Griffin is best known for his work as the mustachioed Montez Walker on the hit Comedy Central series Workaholics, as well as for his series regular role in Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here, executive produced by Jim Carrey. Most recently, he was featured in TIFF 2025-premiering Easy’s Waltz, opposite Vince Vaughn and Al Pacino. He also starred in The Everything Pot with Lisa Edelstein and James Wolk, which premiered at Tribeca in 2024, and has directed three Netflix specials for friend Matt Rife, in addition to releasing two hour comedy specials of his own on Showtime, plus an album and a Comedy Central half-hour. He is repped by CAA, Artists First, and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis.
