So this video is going viral of a guy asking his BB-8 toy a question 10 years ago. He interacts with his BB8 droid, asking about his age which was a cute moment. But sadly these days the application for the BB-8 toy is no longer functional.

Time to pay someone to make a new app that works with it. Happened to my furby boom when they took down the app that connected to it. I had to go on a site where people put game files of lost games to get the app again and hoped it worked. It did work but it sucks when they shut down an app that goes along with a toy.
My current phone isn't compatible with the old furby apps so I have to keep my old phone for them.

It's unreal to me that you can legally sell a physical product that is linked to anything like wifi, software etc that can just be useless if they don't want to pay to keep something running on their end…So dystopian
