Gisele Bündchen has moved on from her high-profile marriage with former New England Patriots QB Tom Brady. The Brazilian supermodel recently wed the father of her youngest child, Joaquim Valente. And though neither she nor Brady has publicly said much about it, there has been a lot of speculation about how Bundchen is doing, and how Brady feels about the whole thing.
Bündchen shared a carousel of photos via Instagram on Tuesday, January 13, and it seems like she’s stepping into this new year happy and with no regrets about her marriage. The picture included her kids, food, and family time.

“As the new year unfolds, my heart is full of gratitude for the moments spent recharging with my family. May this year bring you love, health, peace, and new adventures,” Bündchen wrote. “May you find the courage to honor your heart’s calling and to know and love yourself more deeply.”
“Wishing you endless blessings and a beautiful journey ahead,” she added. “Here’s to making 2026 a truly joyful and meaningful year. Sending so much love.”
This comes amid reports that her family isn’t on board with her marriage to Valente, according to Page Six. “Her family warned her that marrying a penniless guy when she is worth millions is a mistake,” a source told the outlet. “Her family told her to just live with him, but between Valente‘s pressure and her being a traditionalist, she felt since they have a child, they might as well marry.”
Valente and Bündchen first met when she brought Benjamin, her son with Tom Brady, to jiu-jitsu classes. She eventually started attending lessons too, and by June 2023, they were an item.
The supermodel is reportedly worth around $400 million, which explains the reported concern. However, it’s important to remember Valente is reportedly a millionaire in his own right, even if his net worth of 1-5$ million doesn’t compare to his new wife’s. But the outlet also reports the two do have a prenup. “There is a prenup, but with some loopholes that mean if they divorce there will be a financial settlement for him,” said the source. Basically, standard practice and not really cause for all that much worry.
Recent reports had also said that Brady was happy for his ex. “He’s happy in the way that is simple: he’s happy that she is happy,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Down the line, he might get married again and he would want her to be OK with that, so he has to be OK about it,” the insider explained.
“If he was upset, that would mean he still has feelings for her and that it would be unfair to the kids if he didn’t want to see their mom happy and move on.”
Brady and Bündchen divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The two share two children, Benjamin and Vivian, and co-parent Brady’s son, Jack, from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynihan. At the time, the two separated reports indicated Brady’s decision to announce his retirement and then decide to go play football had a lot to do with their split.
The exes are reportedly not close anymore. “They are living their own separate lives and anything that actually matters is the safety and happiness of their children.”
