Cartwright reportedly pled guilty to DUI and reckless driving misdemeanors on her court appearance in Oregon on Wednesday. While one of her charges was dismissed, she was sentenced to 24 months of probation for her two guilty pleas, followed by an order to pay a $1,500 fine.

Cartwright’s driving license also earned a 1-year suspension, and she was told to use an ignition interlock device once the suspension is lifted. Bryan’s ex was also instructed to complete a Quantitative Risk Assessment program, or she would risk facing 20 days of jail time for her DUI and 10 days for her reckless driving charge.

As reported by US Weekly, she will also pay a DUI conviction fee of $255 with a payment schedule set to begin by March 1. Cartwright was barred from owning or consuming alcohol or visiting any outlet that sells or keeps any alcoholic drinks.

Johnnie Cartwright’s Attorney Spotlights Her Sobriety In Sentence Hearing

The lawyer representing the 32-year-old stated that Bryan and Cartwright are no longer together, and she is currently financially dependent on him. Cartwright’s lawyer explained that she currently depends on the actor to carry her financial expenses, while living with her mother and still taking care of her kids.

“She’s looking forward to continuing on the progress that she’s been able to make while she’s been on a free trial. She’s not drinking alcohol at this time either, so she wants to continue with her sobriety,” the attorney emphasized.

Right before her sentencing, Cartwright reportedly admitted to the court that she was there to take accountability for her actions, adding that everything happens for a reason.

She affirmed that she and their baby girls are absolutely doing okay, while she hopes to stay on track with the separation process from Bryan. The actor and his former fiancée got engaged in November 2021 and welcomed three kids.

Why Was Zachery Bryan’s Ex-Fiancée Arrested?

The actor and his former partner both got detained last November at the Big Fall Creek area in Oregon and were booked on several charges. As noted by The Blast, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office shared that law enforcement agents had responded to a panic call of reckless conduct near a camping site last November.

According to witnesses at the scene, Bryan and Cartwright were driving in their pickup truck with their three children when the actor hopped out of the car and stormed off. His enraged partner at the time took over the wheel and attempted to run the actor over.

Fortunately for the actor, he was able to move out of the way just in time for the truck to crash into a ditch, leaving no one injured, including their three kids, who were seated in the backseat.

Following the intervention of cops on the scene, it was discovered that Bryan was not supposed to be around Cartwright at that moment, leading to his arrest on the grounds of probation violation.

Bryan’s appearance in court by November brought him closer to his woes, especially after he admitted to violating the terms of his probation three times. His visit to court came weeks after he was released from the Lane County Community Corrections on December 10.

The Blast stated that his confession took the case to a higher dimension because his probation officer recommended a more drastic punishment for his accumulation of offenses.

The officer suggested that the actor serve out his whole 19 to 20 months prison sentence, which was connected to his second domestic violence conviction from three years ago in 2023.

He was then scheduled for sentencing on February 17, 2026. Bryan had previously pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges in 2021.

Last November, Bryan’s former partner secured a five-year restraining order against the actor who allegedly punched her in the head while issuing painful death threats.

The TV personality addressed the issue in a statement to TMZ, where he noted his regrets about engaging in such behavior and reiterated that domestic violence of any type remained unacceptable.

He also attributed his unruly episodes to the experiences that surrounded his time on television, especially after he hit a show on ABC. In the statement, Bryan came clean about battling with the effects of early fame, which was marred by terrible decision-making, which left so many people he cared about very hurt.

Bryan emphasized that the arrests, unending legal issues, serious accusations, and the latest restraining order have served as a “painful wake-up call” for him to put his life in order and begin to take accountability.

“Being labeled a ‘bad dad’ cuts deep because my children are my world, and I know I’ve fallen short,” Bryan continued before concluding that he has started seeking professional help and attending anger management programs to change his life.
