Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is breaking his silence. The eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, who is married to Nicola Peltz Beckham, spoke out about his ongoing rift with his parents, revealing he has no plans to mend fences anytime soon. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories Jan. 19. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.” Brooklyn’s family also includes siblings Romeo Beckham, 23, Cruz Beckham, 20, and Harper Beckham, 14. Brooklyn Beckham would be NO ONE without his last name. In fact Nicola would have NEVER laid eyes on him if he was a mere human. His culinary career is thank to his parents that had the one and only Gordon Ramsay to mentor this ungrateful kid. He’s a model due to his nepo baby status, all his tantrums like being a chef, a model, a photographer were done with a snap of a finger by hiring renowned professionals by their famous parents and now he wants nothing to do with his parents…very ungrateful…When this girl drop him lets see who will be there to carry him…

This highlights David’s narcissism and arrogance. The best thing to do would have been to leave it alone. I’m glad Brooklyn called them out.
I can relate to him so much. My family did the same to me. Everything he is writing feels like I wrote it. The thing we have in common is controlling families and this is what they do when they feel like they are starting to lose control over you. They spread lies like saying your partner is controlling as a way to try and gain control back, and with these types of families there is no such thing as reconciliation. They will never apologize or come around and will go to far lengths to protect their false narrative. Proud of Brooklyn for stepping up for himself and not letting them ruin his marriage and life. If anyone else is going through this know that it’s ok to step away from even family if they are toxic and ruining your peace and happiness. That comes over everything else. Bravo Brooklyn.

I think that is what Brooklyn had, and yes he may be married to a millionaire (billionaires)'s daughter but what people don't understand is that, that was his choice. Having parents who control your choices all the time and who have the resources to help you be independent but don't use them to allow you to be independent because they want you to do as they wish you to do…is stifling. They may have given him "everything" in a material sense, but in the mental and emotional sense…they probably haven't.
I could very well see wealthy families being concerned about legacy and the brand of the family at the cost of not allowing their children something even more valuable…freedom and an independence to create their own life outside of the family legacy.
People are saying "Brooklyn would have nothing and is nothing without his family.", and maybe in some ways that is what he wants, to just be "Brooklyn" and not always have to live up to his parents expectations to be how they want their child "Brooklyn Beckham." to be. Also, people saying "He has never ever worked in his life", it's quite possible his parents could've tried to keep him from doing so and threatened to disown him if he chose to forge his own path (just as they were threatening to disown him (inheritance wise) when he married his wife.)
