The NBA announced that Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts will coach at the Ruffles Celebrity Game during All-Star weekend in February.

ESPN’s Buster Olney shared the news via X.

The NBA All-Star weekend will be held in Los Angeles. The celebrity All-Star game will be played on Feb. 13 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood.

The rosters for the teams have yet to be finalized, so as things stand, it is unclear which team Betts will coach. Other celebrities who will participate in the event will be rapper GloRilla, music producer Mustard and ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.

Mookie Betts: The Ultra Talented Athlete

The four-time World Series champion knows a thing or two about coming out on top, and there is no doubt Betts will do all he can to ensure his team comes out with the win. Betts may be known for his prowess on the diamond, but he has also showcased his skills in other sports, such as basketball. Earlier this offseason, he was spotted working out with NBA All-Star and future Hall of Famer Chris Paul.

Not only is Betts a pretty good basketball player, but he is also an excellent golfer and arguably the best amateur bowler there is.

The Dodgers superstar will coach the game the day Pitchers and Catchers report to spring training in Arizona. The 33-year-old will arrive in Arizona on Monday, February 16, when Dodgers position players are scheduled to report to Camelback Ranch.

Betts and the Dodgers will look to become the first team to three-peat as champions since the 2000 New York Yankees. L.A. is the overwhelming favorite to do just that with +220 odds according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
