Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has seen a spike in social media followers after making bombshell claims about his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Data from Cupid PR shows that the 26-year-old’s Instagram account gained 937,109 followers in the past 30 days, following a period of decline earlier in January.
The boost in followers began on Jan. 19, the same day that Brooklyn made a series of shocking Instagram Stories posts about his family. The largest increases were recorded between Jan. 19 and Jan. 21, including single-day gains of 168,218, 461,315 and 225,055 followers, respectively.
“What this data shows very clearly is how quickly public attention can flip and how closely social media growth mirrors real-world conversation,” Sophie Rhone, founder of Cupid PR, said in a press release. “Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram account went from steady decline to explosive growth almost overnight.”
She continued, “In today’s attention economy, visibility isn’t driven purely by content output. It’s driven by moments. When personal narratives dominate the news cycle, social platforms act as real-time barometers for public curiosity.”

In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Jan. 19, Brooklyn broke his silence on the ongoing rift with his parents and siblings. Along with the Cloud23 founder’s statements were comments condemning his family’s alleged treatment of his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, whom he married in April 2022.
“The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
Later in his statement, Brooklyn wrote, “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Last May, a source reiterated to PEOPLE that David and Victoria were unhappy with the rift with their son. “The relationship is definitely not beyond repair,” an insider told PEOPLE in early May. “They love and are always there for [Brooklyn]. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
And earlier this month, a source with knowledge of the situation told PEOPLE, “David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.”
“David loves his kids,” the insider said of Brooklyn and younger sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14. “They are his everything.”
However, Brooklyn’s social media statement claimed otherwise, noting that he and Nicola traveled to London for David’s 50th birthday last year but were “rejected” by Victoria and David.
