The Masked Singer UK has continued to deliver on the eccentricities this season, and whilst the costumes just keep getting crazier, so do the theories about who is actually under them.
With only six remaining celebrities, viewers have been speculating hard, and we are here to break down the best fan theories, as well as unpick all the clues we’ve been given so far.
Who is Red Panda on Masked Singer?
Kieron McCarron//ITV
Last week Red Panda sang Big Girls Don’t Cry by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and ended up in the bottom three. Names like Alan Carr, Simon Farnaby (of Horrible Histories fame), and Harry Hill have all been thrown out in relation to the character but after panellist Jonathon Ross guessed Simon Le Bon from last week, many viewers think he’s right about the Duran Duran singer.
This makes even more sense considering one of Red Panda’s clue was, “People think old Red Panda is rooted in the past, but don’t worry, I’m always up to date with all the latest trends”. Red Panda even went on to say, “Sometimes, I do this job solo, but often, we Red Pandas band together”. Simon Le Bon… we are on to you!
Who is Moth on Masked Singer?
Kieron McCarron//ITV
One Reddit user thinks Moth could be renowned singer Emilie Sandé, and some of the given clues certainly point in that direction. In clue packet 2, there was mention of ‘Queen Bee’, and this Reddit user stated that “In 2019 she [Emilie] performed with the Bee Vocal Choir at the Albert Hall”. Not only this, but clue packet 3 spoke of blonde hair dye, which Emilie is known for having, especially in her peak.
Whilst this feels on the money, many other fans are sure it’s Kiesha Buchanan from Sugababes. One person on X wrote: “Just catching up on #TheMaskedSingerUK and Moth is 1000000% the iconic @keisha_buchanan – and she’s not even giving it her all yet vocally either. I can see her winning already!”.
Who is Sloth on Masked Singer?
Kieron McCarron//ITV
Some viewers were unimpressed by Sloth’s rendition of ‘Green Green Grass’ by George Ezra last week, saying other contestants were more worthy of safety. However, Sloth remains to sing another day, and we are still left wondering who is behind the mask.
Whilst Sloth’s workout gear has thrown a lot of fitness-related names in the ring, like Joe Wicks and Mr Motivator, most fans online believe Sloth to be Sam Thompson.
Sloth’s performance in the jungle hints to Sam’s win of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2023. Sloth was also seen with a pair of handcuffs which might hint to his stunt where he was handcuffed to Pete Wicks for 24 hours.
Either way, there’s no certain front-runner for Sloth’s real identity, so we’ll just have to keep on watching for more clues tonight.
Who is Can of Worms on Masked Singer?
Kieron McCarron//ITV
Last week, Can of Worms sang the iconic ‘Temperature’ by Sean Paul, winning over the crowd with their performance and evading the bottom three as a result.
A plate of pastries in week one has had people speculating Can of worms identity from the start. Are they a breakfast show host? Are they related to The Great British Bake Off? Do they just really like patisserie? Well, one Reddit user is convinced that it’s Marvin Humes, because of his “Jamaican heritage, got married in the Maldives, four worms = each band mate. One even having glasses”. He does sometimes appear on This Morning with wife Rochelle Humes too, which could be what the pastries relate to…
It’s hard to ignore this fact, pointed out by another Reddit user, “Ones of the clues was a picture of Richard Hammond and James May and Marvin’s full name is Marvin Richard James Humes.” Marvin? The games up.
Who is Conkers on Masked Singer?
Kieron McCarron//ITV
Last week, Conkers sang ‘I’m A Believer’ by Smash Mouth and was safe as a result of their *smash* hit performance.
Many fans believe Conkers to be a soap star, with one Reddit user (segamad66) saying, “Okay guys, I’m pretty certain after last night. It is the very wonderful Richard Fleeshman”. They even listed all the potential well-fitting clues like, “All the Corrie clues – he was in Corrie in 2002. He’s in Ghost, and the character he played was called Sam. He plays the piano, hence the keys.” The list goes on!
However, the “ghosts don’t scare me” clue from week one is throwing a lot of people off. Maya Jama suggested it could be actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe, who has starred in Ghosts, while on X, other names thrown into the mix included Olly Murs, Mark Owen or Ben Shepherd.
Who is Toastie on Masked Singer?
Kieron McCarron//ITV
Last week, after singing Benson Boone’s hit song ‘Beautiful Things’, fans are still left stumped as to who’s under the toastie costume.
While most viewers are certain it’s a female, so many names have been guessed, from Mica Paris to Brenda Edwards. There was mention of Blackpool in one of Toasties clues, so a lot of Strictly rumours have been floating around.
The judges speculated some other names, including professional singers Beverley Knight, Alexandra Burke, Chaka Khan, and Marisha Wallace. But really, it’s still all to play for!
