An 18-tonne weight limit has been introduced on a road in Glen Etive which featured in the 2012 James Bond film Skyfall.
Highland Council said the route was “sensitive and structurally vulnerable” because it was built over long stretches of peat without the traditional foundations to support the road on the soft soil.
The local authority said the road, south-east of Fort William, experienced “significant pressures” due to high visitor numbers.
A spokesperson said the weight restriction was approved so that the road remained safe for residents and visitors.
